Have you guys seen the uncensored version of Negan's introduction scene? Which do you prefer?

Before I saw it, I didn't think there would be much difference between the two versions besides Negan constantly saying "fuck", but I was surprised to see that the uncensored version had a different tone than the censored one. In the uncensored version, Negan actually sounded like he was really pissed off. I suppose this is the more accurate way of how he acts in the comics; he came across as just another murderous psychopath with a lot of manpower behind him. In my opinion, it made him look less professional (though I guess Negan doesn't care whether or not he looks professional).

In the censored version, he's much more comical. He makes the whole situation sound like it's more of an inconvenience than a serious problem that angers him. Of course, he gets serious a few times, but he mostly seems to treat it like it's his own joke. For instance, when he tells Rick how he's killed his men, it sounds a lot like "Dude, I sent my men to kill you and you kept killing them. Why would you do that? That's so messed up. I mean, sure I have a lot of expendables, but you're really starting to make a dent in that pile and I need some replacements ASAP." In the uncensored version, it's more like "You have no idea how much you just fucked up."

Okay, I may have poorly done that, but you get it. The censored Negan came across as a sadistic person with a dark sense of humor and can actually be reasonable. The uncensored version just seems angrier. Even the motivation for killing someone seems to differ between him just being angry in the uncensored version to him just trying to make a point in the censored version.

Censored Negan talks too much. He just comes off as another cliche villain, and this season isn't making things any better by inflating episodes with tons of filler in a desperate attempt to show how fucked everyone is. But really, it just shows how stupid everyone is, leaving only one question. Who's dumber? Negan or Rick and Company?

He's amusing at times, but for all the hype, I'm really disappointed.

I haven’t watched this season yet, but I was looking at some highlights on Youtube and wow, Rick REALLY bitched out with the first confrontation with Negan compared to the comics.

Granted he still backed down in the comics, but he was pretty much a blubbering wreck in the show. Lol.

Negan didn’t do the threat with Carl's arm chopping either, he threatened to have some of his more degenerate followers gang rape Carl if Rick didn’t fall in line. (Though he later admitted, he was just trolling and wasn’t going to actually do that)

Along with saying “fuck” a whole lot more, he uses a little more sexual imagery in his language. Like when Rick gives him his supplies back home Negan laughs and says “I just slid my dick down your throat and you thanked me for it.”

Yeah, censored Negan, just isn’t really Negan.

EDIT: Well, just saw another highlight and I guess he does use the dick/throat line.

Are you talking about when Negan had Rick's group on their knees and surrounded or the first time Negan came to Alexandria? Because if it's the first, Rick had a pretty good reason to bitch out (and even then, he still threatened Negan). If you're referring to Negan in Alexandria, well, Rick probably didn't want a repeat of the first meeting.

Negan walked straight into the middle of an enemy town and handed over his personal weapon. Any reasonable group would have prepared for his arrival and shot him right in the bloody head about 15x from all of the 2nd story buildings then proceeded to massacre the now leaderless band of thugs.

Or they could have just shot them all with the rocket launcher outside the gate and not even bothered to lure them inside.

Handing over all your shit is just stupid. Like inbred stupid.

How do we even know that they had anymore ammo for the rocket launcher? Plus, Negan had already shown that he has enough organized manpower to take Alexandria by force. Attacking him wouldn't end well.

He actually threatens to kill Negan until Negan tells him to go ahead and try since it would be the best shot he had and threatens the whole “I’ll have some guys here to run a train on your boy. Know there’s probably a few here probably into that sort of thing.”

As I said, yeah Rick backs down, but he doesn’t completely collapse into tears in front of everyone like he does in show.

Yeah, Rick's a full blown pussy now. Personally, I'd nominate Maggie for new leader. She's pregnant, half dead and just watched her husband get beaten into dog food, and she still has more balls than all the surviving men put together (except maybe Daryl, but he's kind of busy at the moment.). ^_^

We still have Carl.

He chooses revenge over bosom at every opportunity. FAIL.

Okay, I take it back. More Negan please. This was the worst episode in the series, and it wasn't even close. And this is coming on the back of Erik Kain proclaiming the last episode being the worst. No wonder ratings are dropping like flies. Or fatties in the zombie apocalypse.

This episode was literally the users of /r/shitredditsays if they formed a society.

I saw the first 2 minutes and decided I had better things to do. Was it really that bad though?

Apparently there's an all female group of survivors who are all bad ass fighters.

I'm guessing they put that in there so Tara can have another girlfriend at some point since a bunch of people bitched about her other one getting killed.

Hopefully this one is thin hot.

They need to stop killing interesting characters and start culling the dead weight no one cares about. The Anyone Can Die trope suffers serious fallback when you can't replace your stock of characters with quality personalities. How are people like Gabriel and Spencer still alive through multiple seasons when other, far more entertaining, characters barely made it through one or two seasons? They're so irredeemably worthless you can't even hate them properly like a Cersei Lannister or Draco Malfoy.

I completely agree! The show is down to very few originally characters from season 1. Carol, Carl, Rick, Morgan, Daryl. Glenn was always my favorite so it sucks he had to get his head smashed in. 

Ruthless Carol was cool. I thought that was a solid transition from where she started. But the random back to square one route they took kind of ruined her for me. And I wish they'd stop making Daryl mumble. He can talk okay? He can talk just fine.

I like the Censored version. It just makes Negan's character more likeable. He makes it seem like a joke and that all this is just enjoyable for himself. while it is Ricks nightmare.

I still say they should have gone with the rumor that Negan’s pre-zombie apocalypse life was a used car salesman.

EDIT: Damn it, I really need to catch up on the stack of comics. Apparently he still was a used car salesman part time, but his main profession was a school coach.
