Firefox breaks the forum (no it doesn't, whoops)

Maybe @BradinDvorak would know why, but just a heads up that for whatever reason, updating Firefox breaks the way forum threads are displayed to make them near unusable.

Rolling back to 146 (the version from Jan 13th) fixed it for me. I'll be looking into whether anything can be done on the site's side to fix the issue.

Huh. It's running fine on Chrome, so I don't know what's happening. Good luck, I hope you solve it!

This is why I never fucking update ANYTHING. Windows updates break your shit, phone updates break your shit, browser updates break your shit.

So I wasn't going to do it anyway, but thanks for the information that I now have an extra reason not to do it.

Look on the bright side, if all those things get broken, they can match your legs!

How did you put a gif into the forums?

You can do it same way you insert images (plot twist .gif is an extension for image files, it just supports multiple images in one file)

Same as normal images. Just the img src tag here:

Okay false alarm, it was tested by others and works, apparently I had a file that didn't download or got corrupted in the most recent update and it made wacky things happen. Reinstalled the most recent version now and it's fine.

This thread never happened and let's never talk about it again.

edit: I did just get a shitty popup though asking me if I wanted an AI to "summarize the page", nasty and gross.

Glad you got it fixed! I was going to say, these types of updates are usually useful for staying a step ahead with cybersecurity. There's a major vulnerability with Chromium-based browsers floating around, for example, though that shouldn't be impacting Firefox at least.

As far as your edit goes, these web browsers trying to force AI down our throats drives me crazy. It feels like every other update I have to disable some kind of new AI feature or one that re-enabled itself.

Oh please let it summarize the Chicken Hunting thread and post the result!

I lobotomize every single windows installation I have for a reason.

Edge can fuck off, so can one drive, so can cortana or copilot, so can gamebar etc.
