Oh man, no wonder the game was so good. :( 

I wouldn't have even noticed it if I hadn't been browsing the CoG forums and someone from over there linked to it. I figured it was a story I missed and followed it back here and yeah, the current top comment lead to a link to the original site of the story.

It's been here for years though. Man. 

Well it looks like it's been up here since 1/21/2012.

According to amazon where you can actually buy the book it was published WAY back in August 31, 2001. (And one review is from June 9, 2002) So I'm fairly certain that the army dude on the runaway website wrote it first.

Unless the original author and tyrannosaurus are the same person, but I doubt if they are.

Well, there goes one of the better stories on Modern Adventure, looks like we will have a far larger chance at getting a trophy on that section than any other.

Well I let Madglee know so I guess he or one of the other mods can decide how to proceed next.

wow that's pretty sad. I'd notify the author and ban or at least punish the plagiarist.

He hasn't been on for a year now, there isn't much to do but remove the game.

Maybe they just wanted other people to experience the game. I don't see them claiming it as their own, so maybe they just wanted it on another site because they appreciated it. Either way, it should probably be taken down.

I might be the only one not regretting its removal, because I usually only play the new shitty short games for quick points... Unless I've witnessed site-wide approval that it's some seriously good ass shit and should be played.

Well seeing as how we have access to the actual game it's kind of pointless to regret it's removal.

Always give credit to anything you didn't do, cite everything, because in college they'll rip your eyes out if you lie.

Maybe the guy who brought it here is the guy who created it. Ever thought of that.

Why would someone, who made the Book in 2001, post the full story on a free website, without telling us the author is the same?

Amazing that managed to sit around so long without anyone catching it.

I do not understands plagiarizers, at all. Like, it literally makes no sense how their brains work...do they really get some kind of warm fuzzy feeling hearing readers tell them how much they liked their story, when it's not even their story?

Anyway, looks like I need to try writing some kind of modern adventure, that section's always been sparse. I'm apparently only capable of writing nerd shit though. And then not finishing it. 

As far as real world stuff, I could probably write a p cool story about Comanches, but where would that even go?

Most plagiarizers are in it for the rewards, but some are just pathetic and lonely and want someone to say 'Good Job!' (most likely in this case).
