Welcome to the site, hope you have fun reading and writing. Any snippets or sections you want to get a few more pairs of eyes on could be posted in the Creative Corner or Writing Workshop. Good luck with your story.

Oh, no. I definitely won’t able to resist. Thank goodness summer rolls around and time is a bit more plenty.

if you look at the timestamps, it's about once every few months(~3). I wouldn't say that there would be one for at the very least another month, however.

Welcome, hope you have fun here. The writing workshop and creative corner are good to get some feedback on plot and writing quality overall. Couple of genres are pretty popular here, mainly fantasy and its grimdark counterpart. Scifi, mystery, and love & dating have good stories too, imo. I also recommend checking out individual authors, people like Endmaster, NinjaPitka, or Mystic_Warrior have multiple great stories. All in all, though, the genre you pick doesn't matter as much as how well you craft the story. A good writer can make any genre a good read.

Oh, how naive. Yes, of course, we intend to put in an entry. Some just don't have the motivation to go beyond that.

One of my favorite types, though I rarely have the time or enough friends present to play a good few rounds of secret hitler.

2 very different styles of writing here. A had a descriptive, melodical pace that drove the atmosphere of the story pretty well. B was more concise and straightforward for more story progression, IMO. A felt more polished, overall, though. I'd have to give it to A for reading enjoyment.

Now that I'm done with the contest stuff, I can lay out some time to read these duel entries. I've tried my best to avoid reading others reviews so I can give my unbiased thoughts: Story A read a bit strange at first, but the writer seemed to ease into the story a bit more as it progressed. Watch for some spelling and grammar issues, though. Dialogue flowed smoothly, and the setting was a decent pick to both set up the story for the end, and to make the process all logical. Speaking of the end, that was a good twist. Made me laugh. Story B felt a bit more restrained. It has an edge over A in writing quality, but dialogue read a bit awkwardly. As for the plot, I'd also have to give it to A. B was shorter and a bit more cliched(for a lack of a better descriptions). Overall, I'd give it to A.

Hey, I’m fine with that result. Congrats to mystic, first and foremost. Good job to all that entered, and may shame burn hotly for those who didn’t.
