"Once Upon A Time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two Regal Sisters who together, and created Harmony for all the land. To do this, the eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn. The younger, brought out the moon to begin the night. Thus, the Two Sisters maintained balance with their kingdom and their subjects, all the different types of ponies. But as time went on..." -My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

I LOVE YOU.png

"Equestria at peace. This was the dream our lands were founded on, a dream few could bear to let go. Yet the world had other plans in store. Hope itself seemed to have flown out from the world, turning its back on these wretched forests and withered meadows.

Yet, as a light through storm clouds, the Two Royal Sisters came into their own, and the terrible creatures devouring this land would defile them no longer. Discord, that cloven-hooved Spirit of Panic, now lies encased in stone. The Cursed Crystal Empire to the North is no more.
So too did these Sisters, in their kindness, offer our lands both Night and Day. No longer would we need to sacrifice our magic to keep the Sun in the Heavens, and the Moon in her starry field, for the Princesses' magic now keeps both of them in their proper place.

- Sunshine Radiance, Canterlot Chronicler of the Era of the Two Sisters

Princess Celestia must traverse the wide lands of Ancient Equestria, for the Rulership of Equestria, once a vast land of dark spirits and wicked sorcerers, now passes into her gold-shodden hooves. The ponies of these lands have entrusted themselves entirely to her, and her sister Luna, yet still the things from the dark stalk their hoofsteps, hidden in the dark forests and the frozen mountains. Yet worse still are those who whisper in the ears and turn even the hearts of those closest to Celestia against Harmony itself. Will the magic Celestia has acquired, and the friendships she has won, be enough to keep Equestria together? Or will she fail the test, plunging the land into fear and chaos once again...?

Features:

Radiance and a Companion: These lands need hope in these times, and Celestia's light can give it to them. But she must be mindful of how these decisions will change her sister's mood.

A Knights of the Old Republic Style Open World - Traverse the lands of Equestria, finding stories, equipment, characters and quests at your destination, as well as on the way there.

A Night and Day Cycle - The Rulers of Equestria can bring forth both sun and moon, and the lands are very different under both. Will Celestia bask in her precious light, or does her Sister's night beckon her forwards? (The day/night cycle means that many of the optional side quests will be permanently missable on a first playthrough)

Spells and ingridients - As a magical Alicorn Princess, Celestia can perform far more magical feats than simply "raising the sun". These spells will be aquired through tomes found throughout the world.

Mysteries of Equestria - There are a great deal of easter eggs, mysteries and side quests hidden throughout the game and the open world.

Author's Note: My other stories tend to move the focus away from the personality of the player character, and onto the world. While I hope to have made a great deal of effort in the world building, I have also tried to make Princess Celestia's character more involved in the story and dependent on the choices of the reader, so this is a lot more dialogue heavy than my previous stories. Since this is set many centuries before the first episode of the series, there is more than enough room for interpretation as to what kind of ruler and leader Princess Celestia was in these ages.
