Just post is or discuss which is better besides what else is there to do?
Right now, I'm listening to Bush's "Machine Head".
Next will probably be SoaD's "Needles".
Ok sounds good
Have you tried Beethoven's moonlight sonata or even gorliaz?
No. I do like Bach's Fugue in G Minor, though.
hmm ill have to try that
Bach's fugue is a great example of the wonders an organ can accomplish.
You should see the wonders my organ can accomplish.
Indeed it is.
Rap, but mostly Gangsta rap such as:
Wu-Tang Clan, Niggaz Wit Attitude, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Tupac (and Outlawz) Eazy-E, Nas, Ice Cue, Biggie... kinda sucks the genre is hard to find these days, so thanks to Suge for killing Pac I guess?
It's mostly a mix between East Coast / West Coast rapping styles, but I find the West Coast better than East in terms of solo artists (mainly because of Tupac) while imo Wu-Tan Clan of NY is better than N.W.A. of California (probably because I find Wu-Tang Clan to be much more harder also I'm not a fan of Dre's disc jockey skills)
The past always seems to be remembered favorably.
It's called "nostalgia" lol.
Right now I'm listening to video game OSTs, as usual. I find that video games make better music than anything you can find on the radio or anywhere else for that matter. Currently I'm in love with Bravely Second's OSTs. The guys who made FF are pretty damn good at making music.
Pretty much anything, long as it's decently melodic.
Currently, I've been mostly listening to electronic sorts of music and virtual instrument demos from 8Dio.
I don't have a favourite genre since I just listen to what's good. But there is one style of music I've really gotten into lately and that's electro swing. Favourite song right now is Times Like These by Eden Project.
A playlist of some of my favourite songs:
Oops, that's a habit from my other playlists. Thanks, 73v3.
The same could be said to you.
Yeah, the first time I saw that username I thought it was a copycat of mine. I don't think that's the case, though.
Yeah; it's just a coincidence.
Haha, versatile meaning... random/varied? XD
Were I to make a playlist of my favorites, I'm sure it'd end up similarly varied.
Do it. You know you want to.
I more or less carelessly threw this together, but here goes.
Your phone is a terrible, terrible person.
Since there's only one cover on that list, Ei, I suppose this means you're talkin' about my... other stuff.
Ah, well, I guess they're also relevant, with their being songs I enjoyed enough to try to make covers of. Er, just don't watch the Zoey 101 video...
-_- I'll struggle to take that as a compliment. Not one aspect of that video could be described as even "mediocre" (granted, I was thirteen), and it's my most viewed, too—ahead of any of my actually passable content... At least it lowers people's expectations?
Animal Crossing's got some great music, and K.K. Ballad and Steep Hill are pretty popular ones.
Harper? She's a polydactyl. Not all too friendly though.
Yes. "Game music" is my thing, and even a lot of my original work is designed with games in mind.
It does. It also means it looks like she has thumbs. (It also has nothing to do with music, not that I exactly mind.)
But of course. Music is music, after all.
No; not necessarily not nice. She's just often asocial.
We are off topic, so allow me to extrapolate and regress, and say that I think Schmoyoho/The Gregory Brothers do amazing musical work.
I mean, yeah. Just a little more so than other cats I've known.
Also, I completely missed that edit of yours. Can't go wrong with Dragon Roost Island or any of the Hyrule Field themes.
That was definitely my first thought, way back when he showed up out of nowhere.
(The brain's always looking for patterns; don't judge me!)
Right now? I use to like Industrial Rock or Metal- but now I am kinda into 90's alternative- Nirvana, Sublime, Cake, etc.
Kid cudi, I'm the only guy who liked his new album.
"How to be Eaten by a Woman" still confuses me. Weird tune.
If you're feeling a tad confused about the concept of being eaten by a woman, there's this cool art site that has all the info you need... Can't remember the name though.
I can think of several.

Love in an Elevator
Walk this Way

Haha. "Smoke two joints". Love that song.
"I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints, and then I smoke two more."
Thank god I don't smoke two joints every 1,000 points. The way I play CoD, I wouldn't be able to breathe!
... Well, CoD doesn't have points, does it?... Meh, kills, prestige, exp. Same thing.
That song is amazing. I love the Sublime version better than the original, tbh
Clutch is a badass band, my favorite song by them is Big News I.
Bob Marley, The Beatles, Ozzy... this list has some pretty awesome music on it.
Never liked the guy, but lately I've been listening to a fair bit of Kanye West. i.e. Runaway, Power, and his Wolf of Wall Street theme song. Other than that I usually listen to Indie.
I'm studying for exams at the moment, so I've been listening to Requiem in D Minor over and over again. Any recommendations for study music are greatly appreciated.
Pachelbel's Canon in D
Sweet. Thanks, James.
If you don't mind music from 90s RPGs, there's also "Corridors of Time" from Chrono Trigger, which is good for study when played on loop. But, I understand that my tastes can be a little weird. Also, I imagine the quality of the music can be annoying to anyone to whom it does not have sentimental value.
For me that'd probably be "Stickerbush Symphony" from Donkey Kong Country 2.
Break out the Russian Folk Music.
Grab a brush and paint a cow
Slap dat ass and show them how
Ho ho ho ho ho
It is seriously what I listen to when I'm studying. Especially with lyrics, I associate certain events or notes with the different chorusses. To me, what probably translates to the singer telling someone to pull out their giant dorito-guitar and join in the music represents the battle of Cowpens in 1781, where Danny Morgan kicked enough British ass to turn the tides in the re-conquering of the colonies in the Southern Theatre. I remember it vividly to this day, because that's what I was listening to when I read it... And also because I was excited as hell, because the year 1781 meant that the war was drawing to a close and I could stop typing the damn report soon enough...
I feel like expressing my confusion will only give you some sick sense of victory.
Therefore, I will just nod my head slowly.
The old sound is best, though. I definitely like this version, but the old, authentic sounds are far more atmospheric. Not that I could find the old version of Otoba E if I wanted to, or know enough Russian to parse whether that was a folk cover or their own song... I really liked that video though, I'll look into more of their stuff.
Hardcore dubstep (rave4lyfe), rock, 90s pop.
I absolutely despise modern pop, rap and the majority of mainstream music nowadays.
I'm the same way with the music playing on the radio nowadays. I prefer dubstep and and good songs from movies.
Hmm, well, I have become addicted? interested to nightcore songs for a while now. Though I do occasionally listen to a good rock song.
keep calm and listen to nightcore.
I recently found the Miracle of Sound Youtube channel, and I am really enjoying his styles. I say styles, because he truly covers an amazingly diverse amount of genres, Celtic, rock, pop.
The song 'Hurt' by Johnny Cash is an amazing tune that I cannot stop listening too. Also "Personal Jesus".
Fun fact: "Hurt" was written by Trent Reznor and originally recorded by Nine Inch Nails. Johnny actually asked Trent if he could do a cover of the song.
I know, that's how I found it. And Personal Jesus was first done by both Depeche Mode and Marilyn Manson.
Well, I live in a place where the name "Johnny Cash" draws attention a lot more quickly than "Trent Reznor". You'd be surprised how many people thought Johnny actually wrote the song.
I love Nine Inch Nails and everything Reznor does. Favorite album is Downward Spiral and Pretty Hate Machine. I've seen him live twice, each time was amazing.
Anyways, I think Johnny Cash did the song justice. Made me wanna cry.
I like me some gangsta folk rap.
Hm... Well, as for genre I prefer classic rock, music from the 20's to 50's and some alternative from nowadays... Hell, I'll even listen to classical music if I'm bored/thinking of all the horrible things I could do to people (nothing beats listening to Beethoven's 9th Symphony when thinking of rape and violence). Used to like pop music before I slowly and surely realized that most of it is crap.
As for my favorite band... Well, it bounces back and forth a lot. Last music thread I can remember (about five or so months ago) I liked Green Day, now I like The Doors.
And this is what happens when children see Clockwork, everybody!
I've been listening to a lot of Tame Impala recently.
Anything classical/soothing. But sometimes I enjoy listening to parodies or funny songs.
Recently been into Regina Spektor, and the Strokes and Beefheart, and the old Grime Grime.
Also, Summertime '06 is better than To Pimp A Butterfly.
TPAB is album of the year though...
Nah, it's not.
AOTY is Ten Love Songs or Honeybear.
I guess it's subjective.
Honeybear is in my top five, haven't heard the other one though.
