How about having a 'Hall of fame' corner in the forums?

Really really good threads worth saving can be placed there, E.g the #Marmotlogic thread, so people can go there and view the stuff that's there without having to search for it.

A Hall of Fame would be too subjective. So that's my vote against it.

You could always create your own Hall of Fame on your profile page. Check out playa988's page for an example (he has a "Comment of the Year Nominees" thing going on).

To be honest, while it sounds nice, it's probably a bad idea due to newcomers. Just imagine having Endmaster's glorious posts as the first couple things the newcomer sees. 

Or feel that they've found a place to fit in.

It's very presumptuous to think  you guys are the only ones who do crazy and possibly offensive shenanigans.  ;)

You're probably right.

However, there are probably equally bizarre combinations of things on other sites.

And I always interpreted it as all in good fun. ;)
