It's the day before Halloween, and in my neighborhood, the streets are alive with spookiness as ghosts, jack-o-lanterns, and other supernatural creatures haunt the porches of many a house. What are you guys doing for Halloween? Any fun plans? If you're planning on dressing up, what costumes?

The fun plans of the last week of October belong to someone else in my family, and for me are more something to be endured.

I'm doing pretty much the same thing I've done all week which is struggling to not die of boredom at work till 10PM. At least is saves me from having to chase kids off my front door this time around. I do need to finalize a review for this month so I'll probably do that as well.

The best part about the kids coming over to get free candy at my house is that not too many do, which leaves all the candy for that ghost that always eats most of it each year. I wonder who that could be? It's almost like the person who bought it bought too much, just to make sure the "ghost" gets its share.

I wasn't aware you guys even did trick or treating, that's cool.

It wasn't a thing when I was a kid because of how religious the older generations are, but today and especially in cities it's more normal. There's even a few houses that get decorated for the ocassion in my neighborhood.

Just the typical trick-or-treating. I'm doing a DIY Willy Wonka costume for Halloween.

I wish I could make myself look better by saying I do that, but I don't. I take as much candy as a sign lets me and with no sign it's always 1.

With no sign it's always one? My child, if there is no sign, there are no rules. You should empty the bucket into your pillow case or giant garbage back (if you go Trick or Treating with a pale, you have more to learn than I thought).

I kid, of course. You have been doing the right thing.

My friends and I are going to go to a party and then leave early to watch horror movies. I'm in a giant group costume where we're all characters from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I spent like 8 hours making my costume, and I'm pretty happy with it. 

Unfortunately, I do have to leave by 5 am on Saturday for a sports thing, but that's future me's problem. 

Pictures of the group please. Are you all going as Arthur and the Knights, peasants, or Frenchmen?

Actually she probably shouldn't post any photos, especially if they're going up on anybody's social media elsewhere. Never know what kind of creeps are lurking around.

I won't post any pictures because of what Mizal said. We have Arthur and his knights, Conrad (one of the guys with the coconuts), the killer rabbit, the head knight of the Knights who say Ni, a cult member, and the Black Knight. 

Fair enough. That's a good spread on the characters. How many people do you have in your group?

That's freaking amazing. Are any of you the Black Knight? If you have an amputee friend, I mean, there's opportunity.

Edit: You ARE doing the Black Night! Spectacular. But yes don't post pictures. Still, what a great idea.

It's ironic because my friend who is dressing up as the black knight got into a woodshop accident two weeks ago and messed up her hand. She's alright now, she still has all her fingers, but we've made many "tis but a scratch" jokes. 

Your friend group sounds awesome.

I'm gonna watch Hocus Pocus and Night of the Living Dead, which is my Halloween ritual, and give out candy. Otherwise that's basically it.

I wish this could be me, this sounds like the ideal Halloween but every year I spend a week enslaved to a relative's over the top plans and just hoping it will be over soon.

Sounds like true horror. Rather appropriate, one might say. ;)

I will be at work until well after the respectable trick-or-treating is over. No dressing up for me. I am no Time Princess
