Orpheus

This game oddly breaks into two halves, the first highly atmospheric but practically devoid of choice aside from choosing what to eat from a refreshment cart--beverages or a loaf of bread (?)--but the prose of that first half is interesting, at least, and offers an interestingly haunting environment. I thought it was going to go somewhere interesting.

However, the story falls apart in the second half, as it becomes an inventory hunt-and-use without any particularly obvious logic to much of it--go places, pick up all the stuff, and try it out in likely places.

The inventory based advancement didn't fit with the atmosphere or the I am so lonely...It hurts...Who are you?...You are so sad" emo of the story. Instead of thinking about the characters, you are instead thinking about which areas you haven't been to and what you haven't used in what location. It's not *hard*, but it's not interesting, and it's very tedious.

It's a shame, too, because there's an authentically interesting idea about death and dreams and loss buried under all the apparatus. The sentence level writing is often a problem, though--spelling, tense, and punctuation errors abound. It's probably worth a read, but its wholly linear quality make it less than satisfying.

I actually really liked this, it was good.

The atmosphere building was excellent and the pacing was deceptively slow. At the beginning, all was normal. However, as time moved on, things became more and more sinister and strange. Things got weird, but not too weird.

The characters had good dynamics and dialogue that felt real and convincing. Each of the characters felt like an actual person and not just a two dimensional extra.

The thing that took so much away from this game was the fact that the author constantly switches verb tenses. It was enough to throw me off and sometimes was line to line. Other than that and a couple of spelling issues, I really loved it. There's a lot here for its short length. 5/8

SO amazing pls keep making more. Grammar and technicalities not great but the story was captivating

Quite an interesting story, I felt as if the ending was not complete enough, but it was very well developed. I feel a bit of a lack in detail and maybe backstory and memories, but I loved it anyway.

This was AMAZING! I loved how your wrote the book and the idea! The plot was fantastic, and I do love my wife Alice.
