Player Comments on Three Keys

This was alright. It's worth reading. It has decent writing and use of items. The branching is perhaps lacking, but we are given a fair choice of endings which have their respective pros and cons, something I like. We still could have used allot more options for the wish. For example, "I wish that everyone trapped here was free." A wish is a wish, we need not limit it.

Short, with mildly decent story

Very touching and well thought out. I really would love to see a continuation if possible, but I understand the effort it took. It's a very well written story.

The story could have been a bit longer.
Difficulty is spot on.
We would've liked more options of killing people with the axe.
The whole class is grateful for your writing though.

I CRIED

It was interesting. I think what prevented me from getting more immersed into the story is the unreality of the plot. Vampires and fantasy theme, I get, but how the heck do I find notes left by people tied down in the dungeon? And somehow (spoiler) Mitsue just happens to have the last key? It's details like that which really bug me. And the triviality of some of the objects (table, cupboards, etc) just don't seem to mesh well with the rest of the story.
Also I feel the endings could have been more developed. It would have been nice to see different options as well. 4/8.

It was a pretty good story, I enjoyed the endings. I felt it was a little short though.

First impression was not favorable- lots of careless spelling mistakes, hardly any text on pages, apparently little to no plot or characterization. However, as I progressed further in the game, a surprisingly enjoyable story began to emerge.

The adv aspects of the game leave a little to be desired- it's mostly "go get this item, then backtrack to the place where you can use it." I didn't find any errors in it, though.

Wow, that was great, although I never used the coins, and I think you could have made it better, so that once you find Mitsue, you leave the house, and together, you go find the second key, and you end up searching a long time, falling more in love with Mitsue before she gives you the key. After all, who falls in love after one day, seriously!

But overall, I LOVED it. Even though it had its flaws, it's awesomeness makes up for it. Keep up the good work!

Good story. *clap* *clap* *clap* Still could've been better. It's hard to explain how, but I would like more character development. Also, maybe you should explain in the story who the heck Karin is. That was really confusing.

I would have liked a more difficult decision when deciding to stay or go, I felt like both girls were not developed enough for me to care about the decision. Otherwise, decent story.

Quick, but pretty good.

This was a fun story game. I wish you could have wished for a door and gotten them both out. Oh well, I tried all the endings and enjoyed them all.

I compare every story that has the use of items with Vengeance because it is one of the best. IMO, Three Keys and Vengeance are very similar to each other for the following reasons. They both are pretty interactive, both are linear, both lack writing, both decide endings depending on the last choice, both have one line pages, both have use of items. That doen't mean that Three Keys is bad or anything, it is just not as good as Vengeance. But sorry if you are offended(I bet you aren't)! o_O

I really liked this. I'm not a fan of long stories, so this is good for me. Your writing style is easy to read and there was only a few mistakes ( used here instead of here ).I loved the ending I got. On your next game, maybe use a little more descriptive language.
I really don't think it's fair comparing this with Vegence. They are completely different genres and it's been out longer than this game.

It is good but it is highly over-rated. There is no way that this game is better than Vengence. Although the endings were awesomely excecuted(and I went back to read them all), the story lacked any real choices. It was extremely linear, the writing lacked(excluding the ending, although it was better than mine haha.), the setting was non existent, and this story was too short. The use of items wasn't clever(read Vengence to see a better use of them) and there was no sense of making a choice(except the end) since everything led to the same place. All an all, a good effort and you have potential this is for sure. Don't get disappointed because it is just a personal opinion. For now, I am giving you a 4 for your own good (you will understand this when you will publish your next story). Hope you do good (and don't develope a grudge against me hahahaha.). Nice.

A well done story. I thought the first key was a little too easy to get, but the story was well written. A longer epilogue would have been nice, but I enjoyed playing through it. Definitely not bad for your first advanced editor game. I look forward to any storygames you might publish in the future! :)
