This is my first game, so constructive criticism will be appreciated!!

In this game, you are a member of the town of Halloway, an uneventful city in the middle of nowhere. No one leaves, and no one enters--this didn't seem weird to you until a fateful day, when the end of the world was foretold on the radio. After all, you've been told that the nearest town is six hours away, and desert stretches for miles in every direction you look past the town. Predictably, the news about the end of the world--especially from the country's president--causes panic and terror to run amuck. Even stranger than the end-of-the-world prediction is the voice being broadcast through your headphones that seems to be guiding you. Can you trust them? Who are they?

What you do during this chaos is left to you, the player. Will you survive the end of your world?

Based off of the song "Headphone Actor" by Jin. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED!! I only used the song as my inspiration.

To save time and effort, it seems you are a girl. Though because your name is Rain, it's easy to translate that to a boy's name. And because "you" is mostly used instead of "her" or "she" being a boy i this game shouldn't be difficult.

Ah, thanks for reminding me. I'll keep that in mind.

Pictures on 9/8/2012 5:30:11 PM

When I try to upload a picture to My Pictures on here, it says that it has to be 100,000 bytes or less. How am I supposed to find a picture that takes up such a tiny amount of space? None of my photos are that size, and I can't find any that size on the web. Anyone have a solution to my problem? >.<

"Headphones and the End of the World" is the storygame I am currently working on. In the game, you are a villager from the small town in the middle of the desert, Halloway. No one leaves and no one new enters; everything you could need is contained in the city. This didn't seem weird to you until the President's speech about the end of the world was broadcasted over television. Predictably, the town erupts in chaos. The voice coming through your headphones seems to be guiding you; will you listen? Can you trust this person? Will you unravel the secrets of the town of Halloway? Or will your fate be the same as everyone else's?

This story's idea comes from the song "Headphone Actor" by Jin feat. IA. Just a few ideas are taken from it; there is no copyright infringement intended. Just listening to the song and watching the PV will not ensure that you make it to a Good or True Ending. The PV and song are here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hsc4LW-la-M

Here is the first page:

A Normal Day in an Average Town

You wake up at around seven o'clock in the morning on August 1st, which happens to be Saturday. Yawning, you throw the covers off of yourself and step out of bed. You walk over to your closet, fling the door open, and gaze inside. You wonder what to wear. Of course, this all depends on where you plan on going today. Holloway is a small town in the middle of nowhere, but it does have a few attractions. There are a few fast food restaurants, along with a Bob Evans, an Olive Garden, and that practically nameless Chinese restaurant down the road. You, your parents, and your siblings live in a large two-story house in the middle of town. You're fairly wealthy, considering that your mother is a renowned scientist at the city's only hospital, and your father is a brain surgeon/psychologist. You are very close to your big brother, Samuel. All of your life, he has been there, comforting you, and you depend on him greatly. If he disappeared, he would most likely leave a large hole in your heart that could never be replaced. He seems to be the only one that understands you, and is 19 years old. Your little sister, Samantha, is only seven, and though she is cute, with straight brown hair that flies around her face and an inquisitive personality, she doesn't play a very big role in your life. It's not that you hate her, but you don't adore her either. When she came along, your parents stopped paying attention to you, and still don't seem to care about you that much. You're sure they love you, but Samantha seems to be more important, and none of your accomplishments seem to matter. If it wasn't for Samuel, you'd probably be one of those rebellious kids who get in trouble with the law just to attract your parents' attention.

You snap out of your reverie, to find yourself still standing in front of your closet. You shake your head, and go back to thinking about the various things Halloway has to offer. There's a movie theater, and the movie you wanted to see comes out today. But then again, you don't have that much money. It'd take up at least half of your savings to go out and see a movie on its premier day. The park is on the other side of town, near the large hill that encloses the east side of Holloway, and a fair walk or bike ride, but going there always calms you down. There's a river that runs through it, and trees to sit under. The weather looks to be nice, too. The library is a few blocks away, and you've recently received an email saying that the books you put on hold have arrived, and you could spend the day there, relaxing and losing yourself in the books. Samuel is home for the weekend from college, so you're excited about seeing him. Maybe you could do something together today. Not that the college is that far away; just on the west side of town. The flea market down the street is open on Saturdays, and they always have some cool stuff.

Indecisive, you pull on a T-shirt and jeans and brush your hair. What should you do now? You could wait for your parents to call you and stay in your bedroom, or you could go downstairs now. You could also go to Samuel's room and see if he's awake.

Go Downstairs

Stay in Your Room

Go to Samuel's Room

I'll keep updating this thread with info as I progress in the making of "Headphones and the End of the World". I hope you guys are looking forward to my creation!
