For future reference, you might consider posting more than 20 words for stuff like this. Also, What is the point of posting this here? I would suggest asking the community actual questions to help expedite the creative process that you're going through here. Otherwise you open yourself to being flamed by the community. 

Do you have a tune in mind, or are you just writing something you think might go well to music?

Well, the power of music is the combination of words and the tune.  We're only seeing half of the product here, so it's hard for us to really know if it's doing any good. :)  I have no musical skill at all, which is why I'd call anything like that a poem instead of a song.  Unfortunately I gave up writing poetry a long while ago, so I'm not very good at giving advice on the subject.

You might also consider details such as what the song is supposed to be about. I'm not sure what in particular you're wanting people to say about twenty words you posted, but it says you're a good writer right there in your profile so I'll take your word for it.

Getting offended someone got snarky about your tiny freeform poem that as far as I can see lacks any discernable subject may not a good sign of things to come, though. If anything perhaps the proper feeling is appreciation that you're a cool guy with a popular thread after about five seconds of effort.

Don't be discouraged, new person. The blood's just kind of in the water in this place when unfinished stuff rears it's head. Especially for stuf like song lyrics, which are rarely ever masterpieces and usually aren't great read rather than sung. Anyway, best of luck.

Meh, at one point, it would have been unthinkable to willingly talk to anime addicts, aspies, furries, sexual deviants and other mentally ill folks, but I've been on this site so long now, that I've gotten to the point where I've just accepted that everyone on here with a few exceptions is a complete degenerate.

At the time I was going through metal genres to listen to on YouTube and eventually I stumbled upon that one. I was going to make a thread in the Lounge, but I figured this was as good of a place as any to post it.

Honestly, still more tolerable than Fred Durst and his Nu Metal shit.

Your meter looks like a random number generator: 3.3.6.3.4.5. i.e. there is absolutely no regularity whatsoever. The first two lines look fine although I have no clue what they're about. Also by sounding it out I doubt the word emphasis is correct either. Do you have a tune in mind?

Listen to an average song. How long is it? Can you honestly be surprised that when you post 6 lines that don't make much sense and call it a song, people will laugh at you? What's the meaning of this anyway? It might be a party, with flying being dancing or being high or whatever, but then slowly and quiet wouldn't fit in. I can't give you any compliments for your 19 words.

This is a shame, because I was totally inspired by this thread to work on a song. I've even bothered to hash out nearly all of the important details in advance.

For anyone interested, here's what I have so far.
