Great, another book series I probably won't be able to read, but will want to.

Teleportation requires too much energy. None recorded as of yet. Telempathy is the ability to influence/adapt to other peoples' emotions. It's useful for crowd control.

Do people still admit to reading Anne McCaffrey?

I would want to be able to talk to cats. No, seriously. Imagine being able to communicate with strays and see eye-to-eye with them and share common goals with your new feline companions. Of course the next step would be world domination by cats but you'd be spared as a honorary cat by their benevolence. 

Your plan would quickly fall apart when either man and dog combine to kick and finish off a vermin race that shouldn't of outlived the mouse trap, or when the cats turn on you because they're not benevolent or capable of caring for you on any way as solitary animals, unlike the humble dog.

I 100% would also like this talent. It would be awesome!

Finder/telepathy, i could follow some random person around and just drive them to insanity... That would be so fun.

I want the ability to slip a bunch of weird rapey shit into my stories, and still somehow be remembered as a beloved children's author well after my death.

The Talents stuff was like her dullest and worse stuff, too. At least the Pern books and Ship Who Sang series had interesting settings and ideas to appeal even once you got old enough to realize the writing itself was bad.

Pegasus in Flight wasn't really for children...
