hi!! hope you all are having a lovely day (why does this sound like an email). i'm a junior in HS and i discovered this absolute gem of a website about a month ago. fortunately for me, it's a rare source of entertainment that isn't blocked by overbearing school admins. anyway, the stories on here are great! i've soo enjoyed all of these masterpieces and I very sincerely hope to read more and maybe review some. thank you guys for taking the time to write and publish free for everyone, it's really very kind.

as far as reading genres go, i really love romance, dystopian, and the classics. i'm also super into medieval to renaissance history (mostly england), church history, judeo-christian theology, philosophy, politics, poetry, the bible, and anything lana del rey. in my free time i'm captain of the varsity speech team and a part time babysitter. alsoooo I'm obsessed w ACOTAR rn if anybody's read that!!

Which ones have you read so far? Any favorites?

If you would like to know what are some of the best stories on here, we actually have a top 100 list. You'll see site stalwarts like Eternal, Rogues, Necromancer, Dungeon Stompage, Price of Freedom, Hastings:1066, Tower of Riddles.

The top 100 list is really good to scroll through, but if you would like to check out some newer masterpieces that may not be on the top 100 just yet, you could check out Shadow of a God King, As Ink, Reborn, Constellaris Court, These Shackled Souls, Lasso of Time, and Laconia Incident.

Sounds like you're really knowledgeable in a variety of topics. And given that you're the captain of the speech team, you must be very articulate. You should try writing your own stories as well!

Unfortunately, all the prompts have been taken for this cycle, but if you see a prompt you like, write it anyway! That's how you get better as a writer. Write the prompt on your own, publish the game, and people will give you feedback.

If you like the Bible, there's actually a couple of games based on biblical stories. Check out the Samson story by DBNB and an Edomite story by Petros.

Nah, it's fine. As I said before, I don't think the rickroll will get many people, if any at all.

There's actually a year long reading contest going on if you want to start reviewing stories in dire need of ratings, and the staffers occasionally host reviewing competitions.

But welcome to the site! If you've been lurking and reading awhile you probably already know the basics. For whatever stories you have read, it'd be cool of you to rate them and leave at least a short comment, authors thrive on feedback and always like to know someone new is checking out their work.

You've probably already figured it out, but grimdark fantasy is kind of the specialty here. We've got plenty of other content too, the hand featured on the main storygames page are a good place to start...just not going to list out any specific recommendations without being sure we've you'd already read.

So far it doesn't seem like you are trolling, so you're (probably) fine. There's just been multiple trolls who've been making alts in recent months, so everyone's kinda on high alert.
