Hey, and thanks for reading my post. A little about me, since I haven't written my bio yet. I'm a major fan of horror fiction. I also like to create horror stories, but since I don't want to be a single-based writer, I plan on making story-games in more than one area. I appreciate a site like this existing because I'm also a major fan of choose your own adventure stories.

Welcome to CYS!  I'll be awaiting your first horror story with bated breath, everything else is just waiting room magazines (you just flip through because you've got nothing better to do).  Not really, there are some really good stories here.

Welcome to the CYS community! Enjoy your stay, watch out for WC, and don't forget to wipe your digital feet on the non-existent welcome mat! It's nice to meet you. I enjoy my fair share of horror, so I look forward to seeing what you can create!

@CreatorX

Welcome to CYS!

So you like horror stories, huh?

I'm working on a storygame that combine zombies with advanced weaponry and modifications plus special forces. But right now, i'm busy with school though.

Sounds good. I'd love to read something like that.

Thanks

You won't play as a spec ops but Navy SEALs make a mysterious presence in the game. They carry cool weapons such as MK14 EBR, MP7, ACR, SCAR, and many other cool guns. Plus, the come with attachments and modifications. Mixing zombie outbreak with military things

I hope you haven't swapped plot for advanced weaponry.

Careful, I think he might have a capybara rifle somewhere in there.

All of my storygame will probably feature cool guns and modifications.

Make sure to have a firearm with a blood groove.

Hello CYS community

@EndMaster, what do you mean by "blood groove"?

Hello CYS community

Eh, just a bad ongoing joke that pops up sometimes here.

We had a guy on here that was a "sword nut" and he'd alway go on tirades about how unrealistic swords were portrayed in movies, books, etc.

He particularly hated the concept of "blood grooves" and would go on at length about how they didn't exist despite them being shown in movies and such all the time. People got sick of his ranting since we got it the first time and we started talking about putting blood grooves on various things.

To be honest though I can't even remember one movie I've seen with these "blood grooved" swords in them or being particularly glorified so his complaint was baffling to me anyway.

Oh, they're there, Endmaster. It's just that they've been secretly controlling the media and manipulating everyone into thinking they're not there.

Strangely, I think movies only show blood-grooves on swords, whenever the person wielding the sword is trying to get the blood to run off into a certain spot, like a ritual circle.

Hello CYS community

I don't think any firearms have grooves. They have stocks and grips.

Bayonets have blood grooves.

Hello CYS community

Really? How careless of them, what if you were forced to stab through someone's gut with your Model M1911? ^^

Hello CYS community

Pistol can't attach bayonets.

Hello CYS community

Who says you can't have a hydraulic arm attachment capable of shoving blunt objects straight through people?

Hello CYS community

P'shaw!  That's like saying swords can't have silencers.

Hello CYS community

Yeah! I recently bought a bipod attachment for my broad sword. Definitely increased the balance and accuracy of my swings :P

Hello CYS community

I'm trying to find a night vision scope for mine.  In combination with the silencer, it would be the ultimate assassin weapon.  :)

Hello CYS community

Don't forget to put a bayonet on it as well.

Hello CYS community

Then it would need an extended clip.  I'm having to work on a budget, here.

Pistol actually do can attach bayonets, but i think it would make it uncomfortable and  can't fit into your holster. Only if someone could make a compact bayonet specially made for handguns.

For Close Quarter Battle, I would like a semi-auto shotgun with a bayonet.

There are some examples of old pistols that have knives attached to them when people were experimenting I guess with the idea of having a knife-pistol combo.

Some are sort neat looking, but probably not the most efficient thing to use in practice.

Then there was this thing…

If you want to use a gun, use a proper gun. If you want to use a knife, use a proper knife.

Haha!  Someone had way too much time on their hands.

My bastard sword doesn't have a "blood groove," but my civil war cavalry dress sword does (most likely, it was for lightening the blade or for decorative purposes).
