What are mods and admins?

Not to be rude, but why did you ask this immediately after telling Chris to stop explaining? Either way...

Moderators, or mods, for short, moderate the forums. They can delete, edit, and move threads.

Administrators, or admins, for short, have the powers of a moderator, plus some. They can unpublish or delete story-games, ban users, publish articles, and add or subtract points from a user's account.

I can't say I actually know their exact criteria because it's really something that the veterans of those positions would vote on specifically, but...

I'm fairly sure that they would want someone who is consistently active, has been around a long time and knows the community well, is level-headed, fair, and able to enforce the rules, has a helpful and positive attitude, and has contributed a great deal to the site as a whole. (At least, those are the traits that the admins / mods seem to possess.)

But yes, as previously stated, they're not looking for help right now. I'd suggest just doing your best to be a good member of the community and contributing to the site as best you can from your current position.

If we have another mod or admin, I wouldn't mind it being Kiel.

I'm fairly certain you qualify for being a mod. What you just listed as attributes for a mod, fits you quite well.

No. It was definitely decided we don't need another moderator right now.

Everyone on BHB decided to throw out their opinion on who they'd like to see as a new mod anyway.
