re: legal ownership of things made of the editor

@mods

Just was wondering what the legal status was of a tech demo that involved the story creator on the site. The editor is simple yet elegant enough that it beats the effort involved of making a website and a server and all that stuff. But I dunno who runs the site or anything so thought it'd be worth asking. Thanks

This was the last word from the creator re: copyright stuff.

tl;dr your stuff is yours to do whatever with but the actual language of the copyright info on the site itself is very outdated because CYS was a project he made in college 20 years ago.

The main function of it as it exists, as least as I've understood it is that if someone loses access to their work after they get banned for being a child groomer (completely random example! Haha. Hah...) they have no legal footing to cry about that.

No one owns anything. If you publish something on the Internet, you go ahead and claim it if you wrote it. If you're honestly concerned/scared about copyrights, just don't use this site or the Internet.
