For further clarification, if a unmarried woman was found pregnant, she was dragged to the temple, where she would be force fed poison that would kill the unborn child. The fetus would then be left to rot in the stomach of the woman while she was cast out and forced to live on scraps until the day she finally expired.

This religious procedure/sentence is outlined in Numbers Chapter 5.

Just going to point out that your memory of Numbers 5 is pretty jumbled up.

Here's the actual passage, people can interpret it however they want but when you start off with saying "unmarried" you're already wildly incorrect.

29 ‘This is the law of jealousy, when a wife, while under her husband’s authority, goes astray and defiles herself, 30 or when the spirit of jealousy comes upon a man, and he becomes jealous of his wife; then he shall stand the woman before the Lord, and the priest shall execute all this law upon her. 31 Then the man shall be free from [b]iniquity, but that woman shall bear her guilt.’ ”

It was probably actually pretty progressive at the time to insist on a "trial" of any kind and not just consider it a given that it was okay for a man to murder his wife in a fit of jealousy with no proof she had done anything to begin with.

But "It could be worse, we could have laws like a middle eastern culture from the Bronze Age", while I'm sure nobody would disagree with that, is still maybe not all that relevant of an argument for a slapfight about modern America. (And actually seeing as a guy just passively aggressively indicated he wanted your girlfriend to die to prove his point, might be a weird response overall.)

"Rabbi" is an inappropriate title to describe a religious officer in the Old Testament. There were no Rabbis in biblical times, that's an office that only came to exist the exile following the Second Temple period. 

The word used in Num. 5:15 is כּהן (kohen), which means "priest". They were members of a special social caste in ancient Israel and Judah.

I get that it's a packaged deal a lot of times when voting for a party or politician, but there is room to have one stance on one, and another stance on the other. There are plenty of feminists who believe that abortion is a right and also believe that trans women aren't women.
