In a grimdark world devoid of all hope and compassion in the aftermath of a great cataclysm that shrouded the world in a time of great darkness, a lone visionary sets out to do what has never been done before, building a legacy that will stand the test of time. A story about hope, will you find purpose in the aftermath of a terrible war in the darkest of times, or will your end be one of spurned love and failure on the winds of time?

Marauders of Hell's Canyon
unpublished
In the highest of noons, brave the scorching desert sands with only your six-shooter and a mule named Sister Sara. Will you find the lost gold in the ghost town of the abandoned mine according to the old native legends, or will you become one with the spirits of the buffalo cascading over the plains at high noon when the men in the black hats ride out to put the lead into your posse is anyone actually reading this. Only your choices decide what becomes of the sleepy little town of Satan's Cleft in the aftermath of a shootout in a game of poker while a stampede of longhorns yeehaw pardner drink your whiskey.

The Sage of Fuccton's Tower
unpublished
A tower of sand colored stone rises to the East, built over an ancient stream of consciousness. The stones are carved with the names of the great sages of the past, each a dusty gateway to the kingdom's lost wisdom, a flight of steeply descending stairs rising up to a glass-dark plain of perpetual night where the tower was first erected in memory of your missing family and their mysterious unknown fate lost to the sands of time, of incredible girth, veiny and throbbing in the abyssal night. In the highest of noons, a great cataclysm of darkness, yeehaw pardner, the wind in the willows speaks the name of the great sage now gone with the wind, the name of the wind on a swiftly tilting planet. Your choices will matter.

Hello Morgan, we haven't been properly introduced. I am the Olympian, my hobbies include long walks on the beach, reading the works of Thomas Aquinas, raging transphobia and purging all other Wardens from the river to the sea. I can tell we're going to be good friends.

Have you considered taking the contest's Bible prompt, making a thread about doing a hugely complicated, barely related epic, and then getting banned without writing a word yet?

Why did your mom have sex with a bird Nasty creatures, they have mites.

It's rare I see a creature this pathetic, even among the Wardens. Rooster almost makes me reconsider my stance on birth control.

You tagged? But yes, they have a long history of wallowing in apathy and total lack of self respect. When I started my own research it was very telling, the age of the accounts.

"Deus Vult" is a funny thing to say, mizal. There was a reason it made me smile. I haven't brought it up before because it's a little bit of a personal thing for me, but the reason these others all need "motivation" and prodding from storiesunwritten just to get out of bed in the morning, while I've been driven from the beginning is simple: when I write I do it for the glory of the Holy Roman Church and the Blessed Virgin. It's something I take seriously, which is why when I observed the forums and saw misguided atheists, paganism, even repeated mention of Gnostic heresies, I knew these people wouldn't have what it took. (And if I'm being honest, I think even less of the Prots.) All joking aside, I start every writing session by focusing in on the greats like St. Augustine and of course J.R.R. Tolkien, while the rest of this bunch just have their own weak, confused thoughts. And with that said, I hope I'm not spoiling too much when I say the Wardens are only the first conquest.

I would be fine with Clayfinger joining us, however the climb over SindriV's corpse would be daunting for any lesser Warden. Congrats on finishing your first game by the way, now the rest will simply give up due to moral and genetic weakness, except perhaps for Clayfinger and enterpride. I haven't been posting about my progress since besides my not wanting to tip the others off, talking about unfinished games is an activity for children.
