Absolutely.

Number one, find some way to spellcheck your work. I'm sure there's an add-on for Firefox, Chrome has one built in but it doesn't get along so well with the editor and there's some 3rd party for Explorer. Not sure about firefox.

Number two, make sure you play Ground Zero by Endmaster and Mommy, Can I Go Out and Kill Tonight by madglee. Seriously, once you know what's great, you can compare your own writing to it and you will be guaranteed not to publish junk.

Number three, read everything in the Help & Info on the left.

Number four, skip the basic editor and go to the advanced editor. That will be the best choice you ever made.

Welcome aboard, I'm 3J and I'm an administrator and I helped design some aspects of the site. I can answer any question you might have and I'd be happy to do so.

The advanced editor is fully customizable, you can disable all of the advanced features so that it's got the same feature set as the basic editor. The difference is that the organizational capabilities are vastly superior and it's virtually bug-free, which the basic is not.

It's better to get in the habit of using it, trust me.

well l definitly like that bug free part. earlier l was writing a page for "magnum" and finished a whole actual page, but then the thing crashed and l couldnt save it, so l had to restart haha

You can convert to the advanced editor as well from the home screen of your basic editor game so you don't need to restart.
