I'm at my grandmother's house. We've just had roast lamb for lunch. Hopefully I too shall work on my storygame at some point...

I'm being forced to interact with my bipolar, racist Grandma who acts a lot like Cel but with an even larger slur database. My heathen self was dragged off to church this morning, and I played Stardew Valley in the back like the sinner I am. I <3 Maru.

Just finished mandatory family dinner and now I'm going to hide in a corner and write.

Stardew is based af. Why Maru?

Uh. I don't... think so? I certainly don't remember swapping her. But now you've got me second guessing my own self.

I love me a girl in stem. Strong independent women with the capability to electrocute me for the win!

(I know, but my grandma definitely is... She's actually mostly like that because of her bipolar; she ends up pushing people away and getting into some shady sites/groups...) Of course, I'm not saying that applies to all bipolar people. My grandmother just refuses to accept any form of help my family or anyone else tries to give her.

But... Harvey...

It can be hard to accept help when you either feel absolutely fantastic and in control of everything or so low and moody that you don't really care if help exists or not, and everyone who cares is just stupid/pointless/lying. Not that this excuses her behaviour. It's completely possible to not be a dick, still.

I like women... But if I were into men, Harvey would definitely be first choice.

Yeah, I'm aware. It really sucks that we can't get her to accept help, but that definitely doesn't excuse the racism. I wish I knew how to get through to her, but thank goodness, I am not bipolar. I extend my empathy to her, but sometimes it's hard.

As far as women go, I'd say Penny's the gal. But you can have Maru. I'll stick with my shy, awkward, plane-loving doctor.

Fair enough. Penny's fourth for me after Hailey and Leah. Except I only really like Leah because she vaguely reminds me of Robin- and I REALLY wish Robin were single. :(

This seems to be a common sentiment. Honestly the only guy worth going for is Harvey, even if I considered the non-romancable options. Sam's like... a child, and Shane (though he can be sorta endearing) has a plethora of issues. The others aren't worth mentioning imo. :)

Spent time serving at church, visited family and just got back home. Going to extend the festivities tomorrow with my girlfriend's family and make some baked mac n' cheese to go with some glorious barbecue.

I went to church and met some friends, but aside from that (and getting free chocolate eggs and sweets), it was a normal work day. I'm currently suffering with 7 deadlines all due around the end of April/ start of May.
