And for some reason, I'm incredibly nervous about this. As you can see, I'm a newfag and I'm having that newfag moment where you think  know that everyone on this forum is a higher class citizen and you're just a filthy plebeian. So, uh-- hello.  I think I've spent the past  thirty minutes reading threads/posts  and trying to think of what to say - I guess I would like to see if my observations are correct?

1. You have a supreme overlord kind of thing going on with some guy called Aman and some other person. Yeah.

2. All of you collectively dislike lower class newfags who post Warriors games. I honestly don't blame you at all, they're everywhere.

3. Collectively, all you guys despise newfags. (damn it)

4. There are extremely good artists here.

5. Some guy really likes penguins? 

Please, teach me your old and honorable ways for I am a simple pleb in your system, I guess that'll be the end to my introduction.

(EDIT: Oh, damn. I should have posted this in newbie world, well, this is certainly shameful, though I suppose it's best that I would post here.)

I was about to tell you this should be in newbie thread but you noticed your mistake xD

I don't mind warrior cats, I just dislike all of the kids who write crappy fan fics and don't ask for help when they need it and moan at criticism.

"3. Collectively, all you guys despise newfags. (damn it)" - Again, not everyone dislikes new people (I highly doubt any of us hate new people). Some of us are not as friendly to new people as others but I wouldn't say we hate new people.

"4. There are extremely good artists here." - Yes, yes there are.

"5. Some guy really likes penguins? " - I assume you are on about Sentinal. That's just him roleplaying in the forums, it is actually quite funny sometimes. Whether he actually likes penguins, who knows xD I have a character but I don't really do anything with it anymore.

I assume you are from 4chan, whether you are or not I hope you like it here. I skimmed over your storygame and it appears you have put some effort into it. If you ever need help, please ask. I will willfully play and rate your story when it is published (Or otherwise).

Thank you for your great kindness! And no, I am not from 4chan, though I greatly thank you for that wondrous notion! I'm instead from a lowly unsophisticated site much like 4chan in manners and decorum, I have been on that site for... four years now? I came here because of my love of interactive storytelling. Over on the site I am commonly on, newcomers are barbarically tortured and hated until they become hardened veterans, so that's why I am so initially fearfully when coming out on foreign sites! :) 

Aman was the one I noticed initially and has proven to interest me, so I think I will perhaps join one of these sorts of things as I grow more used to this site! But yet again, thank you for your kindness.

 

I wonder how many of the newbies actually stay on a site like that xD Aman's team will be happy to welcome you whenever you feel ready.

The entire site is not like what I previously described, though a vast majority - it's mainly several subforums including the one I just described -- Think of it as a whole bunch of /b/'s, I suppose. Most of the other subgroups of the site are quite kind, though immature in their language and nature.

And as you may have expected, not many newcomers actually make it through the 'initiation', the average lifespan of a 'weak' newcomer is only a week or two -- sometimes even a day before they retreat back to the safe haven known as essentially, anywhere but the forums and never return.

Yeah, I think a lot of people have just been unchecking the check box and not hitting the button. @Malkalack still needs to fix his banner for instance... ;P

It is certainly a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well! I'll try that out, thank you for explaining!  I kept marveling over several users lovely banners earlier and I was quite confused as to how you have down so!  It's lovely to know that this site has such kind  and welcoming  people, as I said before, my foruming website is a very harsh place -- much like 4chan -- where people are regularly harassed for being newcomers, it's taught me to respect those in higher reputation than you to a great extent!

There are quite a few ways to put them up, most seem to do it the way Morgan described. You could also copy-paste but Chrome hates that. You could also drag the image from one tab and place it into the other tab (Which presumably is your profile editor), again, chrome hates that though :P Lastly, you could save the image to your computer. Upload it to CYS via the pictures tab in "My Stuff". Then right click to copy and paste it in the editor.

jkjk.  Welcome to the site, but you're already doing pretty badly setting an impression (to me, specifically).  This isn't a community you can just follow.  You jump the fuck in and be in it, whether you end up horse shit or not.(More often than not, you end up becoming horse shit.)   Addressing us as a club is the most annoying thing you can do (to me, again), because then it makes it look like we're some isolated datamass in the middle of nowhere.  <---That isn't a complete lie tho.  We're a little different from your average type of idiocy.

But seriously, with the labeling shit, that's gonna be a frank no.  You can see Aman's mustache as a horrible product of attempts at labeling.  Or Sentinel's Penguinite race.  Or the olden Pyro faction.  OR PUDDING.  Yeah, I'm calling all of these groups out just for you.

xD Aman is not our overlord, but he's a good guy. Closest thing we have to an overlord is either one of the mods / admins, or Endmaster. (Madbrad likes to pretend he's some sort of ruler, too, just smile and nod.) Yes, the majority of us despise Warrior games because the majority of them suck. I do not despise new people, or "fags", or people who are new to being such. By art, do you mean writing or illustration? Yes, we have people talented at both.

Yes. People like penguins, and mustaches, and gorillas, and phoenixes and a bunch of other stuff.

My memory is quite bad actually but that has nothing to do with this so I'll just skip over that comment. 

I remember my post, albeit it turned into a spamfest of role playing which made me laugh a bit. I was however, referring to your post, and subsequent reply in the Commander thread. I'm sure you haven't forgotten that. I will however, apologise if I misinterpreted your post, but surely you know where I was coming from because it certainly wasn't a "bizarre leap of logic."

This thread has nothing to do with commander or any part of that conversation, so no, I actually don't get it. I also never mentioned you helping with the site in this thread. Your logic makes sense to you, it's still bizarre to me.

 

I'll take that question as a rhetorical one. But yes, maybe I was too sensitive, maybe if I waited a few minutes and read it again, I would of interpreted it differently. Or maybe I'm just an idiot for not noticing you were talking about a post made two months ago.

Very tiring. Sat in a car for 16 hours to get there, then for the next three days I was standing for 10+ hours straight each day with hour long waits for nearly all the rides. The rides themselves were pretty fun though and most of them worth the wait. Then made a 21 hour trip back in the car (we stopped for five hours so mom wouldn't crash the car dozing off). I've only slept 5 hours in the last 29. 

Oh please, as if I paid attention to what you were asking for. :P

Don't mind the Commander forum game armies too much, things will be back to normal soon (the tournament is almost over); there isn't much of a social hierchy here, just know some important people here: Endmaster (An aloof, disturbing, and very well respected writer), 3J (Site admin and well respected writer), BerkaZerka (Site mod, RPG god, and scripting guru) and of course Alexp (Site founder and programmer). There are also other admins, mods and founders, but they aren't on often.

2. No Warriors games, please.

3. We only hate the annoying and noncontributing ones =P

4. Yeah, and I'm not one of 'em 

5. Penguinites - Sentinel hates it when you call him a penguin . . . He's rather unique.

There was a good warrior-cat story from before. So you can't just banish them all now can you?
