Hello! Those of you who don't know what I'm talking about in this thread, or if you haven't read my first post regarding this, then here's the link.
So, basically, I'm going to be hiring some people for the CYS weekly paper, the first ever newspaper CYS had. It was shut down, but now will be returning.
After a while of struggling with multiple problems in the project, including spies, competition, and people going off to make their own articles based off my idea, we shut it down, and CYS's first paper was no more. A while after that the competing newspapers left as well, and now I've come back to restart the project.
If you would like to join in the rebuilding and production of this, then the positions you can ask for go as the following;
Manager: The most highest of high besides myself, my go-to person for help, and the boss when I can't be around. I will choose one other person to be deputy manager for when the manager is away, or both of us are away. Sorts things out when I'm not around. This person requires to have decent grammar and have some experience here. if you would like to take this role you must have full attention when tagged, and must be somewhat active. This is not first come first serve, and you will be replaced if you are not thought of as an official manager, and if someone else who also seems to fit the description asks for the spot.
Reporters: These people should be loyal to the paper, work hard on their project, and be able to bring their work forward on time-that means that if you want to be a reporter then you should have time to do this and won't slack, as this may cause demotion weather it be your choice or not. But I'll be generous with second and third chances of course.
Writers: These people have a little less work to handle, as this is like half of the job of reporters have, and all they have to do is receive the interview from a selected interviewer who was assigned to them, just as the writer is assigned to the interviewer, and write the story. They will be partnered with a interviewer and the two will work together to create their piece.
Interviewers: These people also have little work, as this may suit you better then reporter would, and gives you more time to do other things. If you choose this then you will be assigned to one or more interviews and ask a few questions, along with maybe a prank question or two..For reasons unknown.. OOoooooOOOooo but, of course, you should not ask questions you are not told to unless given the permission by me or the writer.
Back-up reporter: The name says it all. You have the job of both interviewer and writer, only your story will be a back-up or extra in case one of the other reporters either fail or their story isn't good enough. If you're not needed in the paper from the week you did your article then you will be featured in another one, weather it be the next issue or the one after that
Comedy writer: This person will be in charge of the funnies section and will collect some comic strips to be used there, along with some written comedy. If you would like to play just part of this role, then go ahead!
Forum game reviewer: This person will either pick or be assigned to a role-play or forum game, look it over, and write a review on it. This does not take much work and you'll be expected to write at least 100 words, and it must be handed in on the deadline. But it you simply can't write 100 words, then you may ask to write it shorter and await permission.
Story-game reviewer: This person will either pick or be assigned to a Story-game and will play it through, several times if needed, and will write their review on it. This does not take much work and you'll be expected to write at least 100 words, and it must be handed in on the deadline. But it you simply can't write 100 words, then you may ask to write it shorter and await permission.
Art and reading: This is still a WIP, and if I do decide to do something along the lines of this then it will be posted below. Comment on weather or not you'd like to participate in something like this. It may just be a section with writing and art created by people from this site, and the person who does this would hve an easy job that doesn't take much time.
Updates and announcements: Also a work in progress, and if I do decide to make something like this then it would most likely be something like this; A person who works on a section that will probably have reviews and interviews on people's reactions and thoughts on the latest updates and announcements, along with contests and interviews of the winners and their thoughts.
Editor: This role requires a great vocabulary and excellent grammar. This is required before any issues are posted, and this person will look over the entire issue and correct all spelling and grammar mistakes, except for the ones by any people who are answering questions in the interviews, and the editor maybe even change a few things here and there. This needs to be done the day before the paper is released and is one of the most important jobs. So, if you think you have what it takes, then please tell me below!
These are the current jobs and roles that the paper will require, and I will wait until we have at least three quarters of these roles filled, and there can be more then one person each for every role except for the manager role.
After this is done I will set up the Staff Lodge thread where the staff can talk and plan, and it will have details of how to send your work to me.
