This was okay it wasn’t excellent but it wasn’t as bad as some of the trash you see on this website. The story line and the descriptive writing was really good. I liked the way you wrote and how you described everything. You obviously put a lot of effort into this and wrote a whole lot, I liked the “plot twist” but the hints where there. It was a good storyline and was great but just like everything it wasn’t perfect so here’s what was wrong with the game.

I liked how you used items and unlike most had custom sprites for them. But the one thing I did not like about the items was how many there where. I understand how there so many on purpose but at times it became overwhelming which item to use. Using a lot of items in your game is okay if you give the readers a little incentive where to and when to use them. A lot of times I had to randomly click items then go back till I used the wright one which was annoying, having that happen slightly is perfect but a lot of the time is pretty annoying.

One last thing I think is wrong with your story, which a lot of writers do so its not that bad. Is your story was a little to confidential, this one is really hard to balance out what is too coincidental and what isn’t and it varies for every type of story but there is a point where its annoying but you barely crossed the line. For the most part it wasn’t coincidental until we got to the end, where random things which all seemed to help the character out happened simultaneously. I understand you had to give the character a way to win somehow but still it was really pushing it.

But for the most part I think your story was really good the story line was good the writing was good, the only reason why I rated it so low because how annoyed I was with randomly selecting items, it might just be me, but it really is annoying. But overall good job.

I have not rated a story 7 in a long time. Since I am not a loose rater, 7 is very good and I have only ever rated one or two storygames 8.

The flaw in this game was that it was way too hard to beat and took forever. Otherwise, I'd have given it an 8. I found the good ending, but not the secret pink ending. There are also way too many methods of dying and lots of clues that mean nothing to readers, and can be understood only by the author.

It was one of the few games that could actually immerse me, giving the feeling that the author could actually write a book if they needed to. Items were used well, but some places were confusing and items could not be used when they should have been able to.

As stated above, a wonderful game. 7/8.

Good:
1. Creativity of plot- suspenseful thrillers are rare on CYS
2. Puzzles using items
3. Good balance between open freedom and restrictions
4. Pictures

Bad:
1. A few spelling errors

Ugly:
1. The link design needs to be redone. For example, even if I never got into the excavator, I would see the page where the excavator knocked down the fence after I got out. Also, many times there were situations where I shouldn't just see the exact same text after I did an action, since I just changed the environment, but I did

2. Character motivation a little underdeveloped

THIS WAS SO GOOD!!! Some of the puzzles are really difficult (it took me forever to get out of the box too lmao) but its super fun and suspenseful. I love how the photo of Mina is used. The good ending could use some work, it's kind of abrupt, but overall an amazing story. :)

Eh, I got the burning spider ending, an I’m not sure if that’s a good thing. Maybe if it elaborated...otherwise a great story!

There could have been more character development, but I love the use of items.

Pretty scary honestly. If you like the item mechanic, you’ll love this.

It was impossible to get out of the box

This story was fun and really enjoyable! I kept getting stuck near the end! Make sure you get all your tools! Otherwise it was super fun- just super long if you have to reset:)

This was a really cool puzzle type story. I really enjoyed reading it, although I do feel the ending where you save Mina is a bit abrupt.

This is a great game and will keep you on your toes the whole time. There is never a boring part and your are always thinking of what you should do.

Hell YES!!! That my friend, was awesome. I loved the way the story evolved, and absolutely adored the choices that were given. I immensely enjoyed the ending I got. I was literary screaming "F YEAH!!!" through the whole sequence. Thanks for this :) it was incredible

Very well written, not many spelling or grammatical errors. Lots choices, a nice spin on the escape a room genre. Now to try and get the other endings!

I felt pretty badass after finishing this, but I'm still NEVER getting married because of this game.

This needs a sequel where you and Mina deal with the loose ends ;)

I salute you sire for writing this great story. It was certainly worth every cent!
My only problem is that it was a bit too hard.

The characters seemed very real. I could relate to the relationships, and story was familiar, but not too cliche. It was a good story, that requires enough thought that you'll have to try two or three times, but it isn't difficult enough to be frustrating. I give it a 7/8.

Very good background story and tension-creating scenarios. Just the end was extremely anti-climactic. Simply saying you were both safe is not enough. A simple paragraph-long epilogue would suffice. But all-in-all, wonderful - 7/8

Yay! I saved Mina before it was too late, yet it took a lot of deaths to make it there, xD.

Took me a while but I eventually beat it and got both of us out alive!! Great story and had me drawn in all the way through.

For a short story this was good the culprits were a bit obvious though. Good grammar,decent description, and excellent backstory. Good use of items,and just difficult to be intreging but not so difficult its frustrating.

This was a good game. A nice challenging puzzle with some solid story. Well written, and although a little brief, it's detailed enough. It was fun to play through. As Katie says, the use of colours was well done.

I agree with Fazz and think that you could have written a more detailed ending. It felt a little unsatisfying when you get to what I assume is the best ending and it all finishes way too abruptly. There are still loose ends to be explained.

Wow... this game was amazing and I found it pretty challenging. Brilliantly written and has a great backstory. Clever use of colours.

I was on the edge of my seat for the entire game. The usage of items felt very natural and very creative at the same time. All in all, incredibly enjoyable and well-written.

Pretty good- didnt know what to do at first but eventually got around to it. Backstory was great.

Interesting. It had good grammar and good use of items and working out. I really loved the background story. I wish I could have found out the whole story at the end when I won, but it was still a pretty entertaining story.

This was a pretty short story, but the tension was spot on. The beginning was mysterious and I didn't really understand what direction you were trying to take, but by the end it turned out really well. Besides a few grammatical errors, the writing was very descriptive too. Nice job on this story, looking forward to more!

This was a magnificent story! I loved every challenge and I loved the story. I actually got the best ending! The twist surprised me, but this story was better than most other story's I read.

That was amazingly tricky, in a good way. The clues were subtle but there, also it had a great flow to it. I found myself guessing as if it was a 'who dun it?' good job!

The first story I have ever read on this site and I found it really good. Clever concept and great delivery with a good mix of hard and easy. Could be a bit longer though

This game was so fun! Excellent spelling, believable characters, and a unique plot. 100% worthy of an 8. One of my favourite story-games on here! :)
P.S. Took me forever to figure out I was meant to use the ring on the boiler window. LOL.

Really enjoyed working this one out, it wasnt clear at a few points but I got there eventually.

Loved it. But i would have loved it even more if you had included what happed after. Like the sisters and sam's reactions n' stuff.

I loved it, though for all the back story, I was really disappointed in such a short good ending.
Took me for ever to figure the boiler door out at the end, but I'm glad I searched the cupboards.

I was stuck, because I surprised the girl in the car, and didn't get the shovel. That sucked, so I think something should stop you from not getting the shovel.

Loved It.

This was just amazing. I loved this game. It was fast paced, had a great plot, nice spelling, and(my favorite) a plot twist! I loved the whole idea and how it developed. The links could have been better though, because it was confusing at times.

All in all, this was on of the best games I've played. Nice job.
