Mommy now has a billion new ratings and counting. They're all over the place as far as range goes so it'll all even out.

Rogues is like half a million words long, Endmaster has been working in it for awhile and that's what most of us are reading now. Dead Man Walking is another huge one, but a zombie story.

Any of the featured games (when you click Storygames) are pretty good places to start though and there's some decent games elsewhere if you go digging. The New Storygame category is the only one to be wary of since anything brand new might be terrible, but those are also the ones that need feedback the most. (And they get removed with low enough ratings)

Really anything by Endmaster, BerkaZerka, Will11 and Steve24833 is worth checking out.

Great, I have dabbled in Fanfiction and blog writing but I did start creating a story here. I’m still trying to get the hang of the platform and everything. 

I'm Steve, and Slytherin was also my favorite Harry Potter house, except for the racist stuff about mud-bloods. I always find myself having more sympathies for interesting villains than cookie-cutter hero characters who tend to be as bland as can be. Glad you enjoy the community, hopefully you stick around.

I totally know what you mean. I have almost always favored villains over heroes. And some of the ideas I’ve had for stories and fanfics are told from slytherin POVs showing that the house isn’t like the stereotypical racist blood-purity nonsense that the books portrayed and stories about other houses as well. I don’t write just Harry Potter stuff but I’ve been on a kick lately. 

Just kidding about Steve, you should run as fast as possible towards other, better friends.

Mad’s story has gone down a few notches I think. Granted there are still a lot noobs running about, but if this keeps up, it’s going to dip below the 7 mark.

How many new ratings has it gotten? None of these people even have points.

Or rather 146 so far. (I included 3 that rated on the 16th and 17th) A few of them made accounts so some of them have a little more weight than the drivebys.

I think Mad’s story was already in that 7.02 range, so it’s not like it dropped from 7.2. Still, though I remember when it was a solid 8 for a long time back when the rating system was a little different.

Well it is an older story, so it was bound to eventually fall in ratings. Such is the way of things.

I guess that just means more opportunities to potentially get a seat at the table in the modern section for the EPIC story contest.

Hm, a brief search only uncovered whoremonger666 with a shitty tame story called a "whore with friends" and someone called slutsex who joined after your IBV profile. Variations of "hoe or ho" aren't showing anything meaningful either.

Guessing you don't remember the story name, but then if got deleted, might not be in the system anymore.

It wasn't any of those, I think the story was called Lolita? Might have been like crazybutlazy or something like that. Something dumb, maybe almost as dumb as my current name.

In other news, Madglee's Mommy story dropped to a 6.97.

And while I'm probably just imagining things, but I could swear it has also somehow dropped from being the number 2 story in 2007 to number 3.

Seems like there are still quite a few lurkers lurking about, so I guess we'll see if it changes any more before it finally disperses.

The ranking system is still pretty bugged in various ways.

I don't know what is going on, somehow Kill Aman's Mustache dropped from 89 to 88 ratings. How the heck do you lose a rating?!?

That's weird. Maybe it has something to do with how the site calculates guest's ratings? On my most recent storygame, the site decided to count the first guest review as one whole rating (which I haven't had happen to me ever before).

Has it only dropped for the 'based on ... ratings' number, or the ratings in total? The rating system can be a bit wonky at times because it excludes everything outside one standard deviation from the average rating or something, if I remember correctly.

Yeah, it just dropped one off the total number of ratings, not the overall rating itself.

Dropped to 6.95 now. Last time I saw it before the dinks arrived I believe it was around 7.02.

I'm sure if Mad was here, he'd be glad for all the attention his story got. Lol.
