We've all gotten used to AL, but there's been a sudden outbreak of eleven year olds all over the place and you guys are making me anxious.

Come say hi in this thread and let me at least get a full picture of what we're dealing with here. If you could tell us how you found the site that would be great too.

At least the current crop doesn't seem as bad as some of the cringe factories of the past. But @stargirl, what the heck is wrong with you bringing an eight year old onto the forum, geezus. You being eleven is bad enough.

And I'm not dumb enough to think any of you are automatically wholesome and won't cause trouble so don't try that one on me. I've dealt with enough cat porn and noongar abuse and general retardery from your kind to never approach a child without a crucifix and fly swatter at the ready.

He is my little brother, it wasn't my falt he made his own acount on his computer!!! He just said that the site was cool, and then 30 minutes later he came over and proudly showed me his account.

I hate to be dumb, but what does fealty mean?? Im sorry, but I'm just 11. 

When you encounter a word you don't understand, you should find a dictionary. That's how you expand your vocabulary. (For instance I'm sure there were plenty of new words in Necromancer...)

i use my phone's dictionary + thesaurus frequently (otherwise coming up with synonyms would be difficult), it's just that i find it weird that there's an 11 year old on the site

There are several. We had like half a dozen join over that week, although none of them used this thread because 11 year olds are off in their own little reality and traditionally bad at following instructions and reading.

I'm sure there's more that didn't bother using the forum or registering. But I can understand random kids wandering in just fine actually, what really throws me for a loop is the way teachers keep sending entire classes here.

And honestly I might've guessed 15 from your writing, I think you have a pretty good future here considering how productive you are and that your writing will only improve as you read more books and have more experiences to draw from.

I'm turning 14 in a couple months. I found this site because my mom played stuff like this so I just looked it up. Also, I'm not going say that I'm wholesome because I'm not, but I have never seen cat porn and have no desire to. I also don't know what noongar is and am not looking it up because I feel like I will regret it if I do.

Very happy to say that I haven't been 14 for about a year and a half now.

 

Did that many 12-year-olds really join in the past year? When I joined in 8th grade it felt like I was the youngest one here. Weird to me that there are so many more children here now (and yes I know that you would still consider me a child).

This site used to be 80% 11-year-olds RPing as Warrior Cats, with five adults coralling and banning them.

Right, I knew that. Thankfully I joined after that era was over, so I never had to witness it.

I saw a bunch of threads about those silly Warrior Cats. Can I get an explanation on what those are, and why little kids love them so much?

There's been a resurgence of little kids around here, I guess because everyone's spending more time online. They seem generally less cringy than they used to be and only moderately annoying, so we're experimenting with tolerating them due to the global situation.

Hmm, interesting. I've noticed that at least a few of them seem older than they are, at least to me. I wouldn't have guessed that Stargirl was 11, for example, if I hadn't already known.

Thank you! I think that may be because this is a writing site, and I have been reading and writing ever sense I can remember. For example, I read the entire Harry Potter series in 1st grade/ the summer between 1st and 2nd grade, and up untill 5th grade, I wrote a story for each of my family members for birthdays and Christmas. Also, before I posted anything I lurked around in the Forums a lot so I got the hang of how to act and how not to act. 

Yeah, you definitely seem to be a bit more reasonable than I was when I first joined. I had to get banned twice before I finally stopped being a stupid dickhead and made my current account.

Yea the kids nowadays are evolving. I wish I had been as smart as them. Proud of them for doing good.
