Considering your history with not showing up at duels, I'd say that there's so reason for anyone to listen to your demands.

Girl, you were lucky to get an INVITE. I'm honestly surprised you did. They changed the "No kids" rule just for the mean girls- since you didn't even show up to the duel, you just barely count. I'd be shocked if mizal took you seriously, and even more so if you go the year without being completely banned

Pretty sure the implication was that you would be banned for additional asinine behavior over the next few months and this was just the first few degrees of pull back on the banhammer.

This whole community indulges in asinine behavior. 

I didn't invite her anywhere, but Sent has taken her on as a project and is probably the insidious force behind this thread as well.

I forgot the reason why Sent found her funny, must be his own odd judgement of what constitutes as funny. Anyway, his rather eccentric sense of humor is the main driving force of this duel.

You know, it would be more interesting if the stakes were to be higher. For example, if Ant loses, her CYS account gets permanently banned or for a week or so if one wants to be merciful and if she wins, she's allowed to prance around in the discord server. If Mizal loses, a once in a lifetime chance of that happening, then Petros will have to share his title of "being beaten by a teenage girl".

To be fair, that teenage girl can write. This one doesn’t seem to be capable of anything. Monkey on a typewriter.

A good portion of why I think she's funny is her unusual power to generally make people, even the formerly unflappable Darius, assmad enough to try and find ways to quash her account whenever she says something. Even when she's barely said anything! She brings entertainment wherever she goes, when she's here.

 

Also wait hold tf on was Petros defeated by a teenage girl too? You know, that also happened to Corgi in a duel like this. I feel like it's gonna spread now that there's so many of (((them))) around here.

I thought the discord was intended to be the official discord of CYS. When did it change to invite only?

IIRC it was a combination of getting too many annoying weebs, and some malicious beady eyed trannies invading it and my Adrift server to look for screenshots for the Intfiction mods. And just the general realization that some people (Sabley) have posted a lot of personal info about their work and kids over the last few years.

I find this very entertaining.  But what happens if Mizal chooses to not respond to your challenge within 48 hours?

Sent, mizal is an admin. You are too, so you know how busy it is for her. Admins are just so busy... time is invaluable. An admin's time is too important to just roll around in the pig pen covered in shit with any noob.

Oh, I'm accepting the duel. But as the challenged party, tradition dictates that I choose the weapons and time.

I'll make it easy though, the genre will be fantasy. Under 2000 words, and the prompt will be about seeking the attention of a god. Due 11:59pm CDT on Sunday night.

Furthermore, I want @Gower to judge, if he's available. I don't trust a public vote, those have been trolled before.

Objection! Mizal has had previous interactions with Gower, therefore the judge will be biased.

I propose a judge that will be completely impartial. Like Sherb.

as this is the first duel I have seen declared and accepted since I joined the site, can I ask a question on duelling ettiquette?  

Is it considered bad form for others to post responses to a duel prompt, just as a writing exercise?

In the other duels that I looked at, it seemed most of the responses to the pieces were from admins (or at least people I think may be admins of some stripe), is everyone welcome to review, but it is up to the judge how much impact, if any, those reviews have on their final call?

For the first, I would probably post it after judging to avoid confusion.

As for reviewing, I suppose you could. Assuming unbiased judging, your review should make no impact on their judgement(they may not even read it). I can't say for sure if you should, though. Would wait until after, as well, just to err on the side of caution.

Comments are always welcome, and yeah if you feel like doing something with the same prompt afterwards, go for it. A lot of times we do open voting after the stories are posted anonymously, but certain people have been known to go on DM campaigns to fix votes when the results would be extremely funny. And Gower's character is spotless and his judgement without peer. (Gower, pick me!)
