As of April 3rd, 5 people have signed up. The contest will begin on April 10th, and end May 10th. As stated earlier, I'm putting up 100 of my own experience points as a prize for whoever can come up with the best story in that amount of time. No pre-existing stories can be used in the contest, unless they only have ten pages or under finished. If you wish to submit a story that is currently in progress, you must either enable sneak peek or temporarily make me a coauthor so I can view your work in progress and give it the okay to be submitted.
THEME
Anybody can submit a theme for the contest during this week. If you have an idea, try to make it as broad as possible, so as not to stifle creativity. Anybody can submit an idea or vote for the contest theme, whether they're participating or not. The votes of contest writers and judges will count as 2 points, while the votes of spectators will only count for 1. Since my own experience points are being put as the prize, I reserve the right to veto the majority vote, but I doubt that's going to be necessary.
JUDGING
To maintain impartiality, I would like there to be a total of three judges, myself included. I'd also like there to be a reserve judge, because there's a chance I'll be going offline for a long time after the 21st, for personal reasons. If nobody is willing to help judge, and I'm not able to get online after the 21st, then we'll be in a bit of conundrum, but I'm fairly certain somebody will be up to the task.
----------
That being said, if anybody has an idea for the contest theme then now is the time to post it. I'm hoping to see a dystopian setting, but the subject is open for discussion.
