It's been a (really) long time since I've been here. What's happened?

I mean... >_> seriously, lots of things, it's been nearly a decade and I unfortunately only know a bit less than four years of it. xD You missed some insanity, a few infestations of various fans and trolls, and some really good forum games. Nah, Fleshy, Madglee, and Seth have all been around long enough. There are, I think, a few others... (But it IS a tall order to find someone still reasonably active *and* pre-Endmaster.)

Yeah. September will be the guy's ten year anniversary.

Wow, it feels like I'm meeting someone who's been transported through time from the 17th century or something... someone who died long ago and I read about in the history books, but never dreamed I'd see in person... a living legend.

Maybe it feels to you like you've just travelled to the future via time machine or as well. A lot has happened.

• Most of the people that were around back then have gone now. Even Alexp rarely visits these days.
• Some dark ages where trolls ran rampant on the forums, at times when mods were busy and weren't able to keep them suppressed. There was even one case of someone who posted child porn.
• New mods, such as Kiel_Farren, Sethaniel and Berkazerka.
• Fanfictions on a series of published books called Warrior Cats (were they even a thing on here back then? did the books even exist at all?) have been banned from the site due to their almost universal low quality and laziness that they spread.
• A lot of new storygames, many of which are bad but also quite a few good ones!

And likely a whole lot more that I'm missing. I'm not really the best person to ask.

EDIT: There are probably some people who are really dying to get your personalised trophy, hahahaha.

Yeah, I figured alexp wouldn't visit too often. If my knowledge of who he is is correct, he's a busy person.

Trolls are a constant. Just have to be equivalently vigilante against them from the moderation side, or else they'll take over a community and destroy it. Which having new mods helps.

I did see the announcement on the banning of "Warrior Cats" fanfiction things. Honestly, sounds like low quality spread by one person that spread to more people.

Oddly, I only got one person sending me a private message asking if I could give them that trophy. The majority of my private messages were the yearly happy birthday ones. I find that surprising.

?Well, since I've been here there have been several contests, a troll named TSR who posted porn on the site, the WC fandom plagued this place and posted shitty story games and forum threads until they were banned?, freeform was banned, ? and a whole other things, that I haven't been part of.

Trolls...trolls never change. I've dealt with a few back then, and a constant supply of them in other places.

I'm actually surprised at how active it is around here to be honest.

At some points, it was even more active, a lot of members came and went during your absence.

Well sure, Reddit does that to a lot of places. How many of them became active contributors though? Probably not many.

I liked your AtomIC Quiz and like Kiel I've always admired your trophy :D It's really nice. It must be really nice having a trophy like that. I seriously hope some of the other old mods and admins rejoin the site as well, some of them are really great authors and a lot of their stories are still on the featured page. I'm a comparative newbie compared to guys like you, Seth, J's etc; nine years ago I think I was still too young to even have Facebook. THAT'S how dark those days were...
