Alright, one more contest before the year’s up.

So it’s come to the most unfortunate attention to a lot of us on here, how fucking stupid this newer generation of CYStians finding the site are. Like I’m surprised they can even remember to breathe level of window licker. It doesn’t bode well for the future if things stay this way or as the old departed admin JJJ would say "It's not a good look."

Anyway we here at CYS have always encouraged and tried our best to guide the youth that find this blessed site to not only shun faggotry in all its unholy forms, but also to not be such a goddamn fucktard while doing it.

And that’s why we’re going to have an Edutainment story contest in the hopes of raising the IQ level of the youth. Hey better they learn about shit on here, because they apparently aren’t learning shit in school. Also it’s a good way to start CYS indoctrination as soon as possible.

So pick some topic and make a story that’s educational AND entertaining since that’s the whole fucking point. I know history is probably the most common choice for something like this, but it doesn’t need to be. You could pick any field and make an educational story out of it.

Also this is an opportunity for the more “Good Samaritan” of you bunch to try to pull out one of the slugs in the lowest level of the SHAME pit so they can participate in next year’s Prompt Contest (Which they’ll probably flake on anyway) Remember too, that if YOU’RE currently in the upper levels of the SHAME pit, you’ll need to pay points to join the contest in the first place.

And as usual post in this thread if you’re joining and when you finish your story (Yeah right) post the link to it here.

I did promise myself I wouldn't join a contest until I finished at least two story games. But fuck it, when have I ever been good at following through on that?

 I want in. And to give myself that extra boost, I'd like to raise At_Your_Throat out of the lowest circle of SHAME if I submit a valid entry.

Also, any way I can bet fifty points? I'll even go as far as to say that a "valid entry" has to meet site requirements. Since the whole "Snowbunny" thing.

Arguably there's a few in there that could be saved since they're semi-active still.

Though Cat saving Maz might be the most amusing seeing as it would be a Brit rescuing a Frenchy.

An Edutainment Contest you say? Well - do bears defecate in the woods - of course I'm in and it's great to see this genre getting it's own competition :D I don't think I know anyone in the Pit of Shame but if anybody wants help and can make a convincing case I might be persuaded to lend a hand :)

The King of Edutainment is officially back! I'm really excited to see Will's story, and I'm also a little bit intimidated, because now we're facing off against the guy who has literally half of the featured spots in the category all by himself.

Think of this contest as a good opportunity to take away all those features from Will instead. Now that'd be something that will probably never happen

Okay so here’s a list of the third level of SHAME folks (Not including those already getting the save attempt) who I know of that are semi-active/may be important enough to save if anyone wants to bother.

And honestly out of those 5 only Shadow has written a bunch of stories so he’s the most likely to actually do something with his freedom. The rest are mainly listed there out of favoritism (A grand CYStian tradition)

There’s of course way more losers in that pit. Some even still active, but you’ll have to go through it yourself or in the unlikely event that one of them sees the thread and wants to plead their pathetic worth, they’re free to do so.

Thanks End, this is really useful :) Ok, I'll pull Shadowdrake up a level because he contributed a bit to the Reading Competition in its first month. And thanks guys, when I saw this I knew I must join. It wasn't a choice, it is my destiny to keep producing Entertainment stories at a rate of 1-2 a year until I fill the site or Mizal Bezros me in atoms (Bezro is a verb now meaning to destroy someone utterly).

Is bezro an actual verb or something people say on this site

I would like to join. I know mine won't be the best, but I like the ability to participate in competitive contests. Who knows, I might learn something. Can't say it will be the most educational, but I will do my best to make it entertaining with an educational twist here and there.
