I've never minded him much but this has to be one of the #1 requests I've gotten since my ascension. Apparently a bunch of you can't stand him and there have been claims he's sent 'disturbing messages' although I don't have any details.

So should Ford be banned? Give your argument for or against, I guess, and maybe at the end we can do some kind of vote idk.

Also if he's ever sent you a message you found disturbing please describe it.

But in all seriousness, not sure if I asked you to ban Ford (prolly did), but if I did it was a joke. Ford's alright I guess. Not much of a bother. Just kinda there so we can all feel a little better about ourselves and be like 'wow, thank fuck we're not that autistic'.

Note: if you feel he's abused you in the Discord, that's not here so I can't do anything about it.

Naw, he's like the village drunk. He sorta wanders in and out of the site and rambles about things no one cares about. He also did some techy crap with plug ins or something. I never paid much attention to that, but I think it was helpful.

I think the disturbing PMs probably would've been his face. He posted it once before and it was... well, you can look it up if you want. While he's not productive as a site member at all, that still puts him leagues above the average CYS user. I think he should stay until he stupidly bets his Chanbot account and loses it.

Hmm, I have seen his hideous face.  I'm still having nightmares, but imagine how a kid would feel having to see that?  They would never get over the nightmares man.  Pinch or face, I think we need to get rid of him.  

I'm sure his crappy coding is probably the reason the site has been fucking up lately.  That should be grounds for immediate banishment any way.

It's not his fault if his face induces nightmares. Plus, scaring kids for life can be fun. Do you know how many read some of EM's stuff so far? Even if his coding is crap, it isn't causing the site to be screwed. I never installed it, and the site's still buggy. Plus, no one in their right mind would ever let Ford within a thousand miles of CYS's inner working.

It is his fault, he should have hit it with a hammer a few times to fix it by now.  I'm sure he accidentally bugged something, I wouldn't be surprised if was so much of a fuck up, that even without touching the heart-works of cys he somehow ruined it.

Besides, Wibn, I think you are ignoring the allegations at large.  This freak has sent disturbing messages to site members; whatever it could be demands immediate investigation.  What with all the other creeper troubles this site has had recently, we need to nip it before it becomes a WC sized epidemic.  

Also, if you're gonna drag EndMaster into this, you need to tag him three times so he sees the message is urgent.

Anyway, I've had my fair share of friggen' weird PMs, but unless the person is either underage and/or complains to higher powers, there's not much of a reason to act. One PM even started out like this: "First are u a boy or girl? Then how would u like a dark tower chooseyourstory?" First, wtf at that guy. Second, if we killed the creepers, we'd have like ten members left.

I believe whoever sent you that message should be decapitated immediately.  

Besides, just because multiple people creep does not mean it is justified for anyone to do it.

A mods work is never done then.  They purged the WC's, they can do it again.  Unfortunately it would make the site more family friendly as an indirect result, but sacrifices need to be made.  

It will all be worth it when we have purged these fiends in the fires of our admin's wrath.  Wibn, how can you not see reason?

But wouldn't that end his suffering? Every day, he wakes up and logs onto CYS. Then, he sees how everyone's pretty much way better than him. Banning him would be like mercy killing him, so even if you hate his guts, you'd want him to stay for more metaphorical nut kicking.

I suppose I do enjoy watching him flounder as he attempts to tie his shoes.  

But wouldn't you rather end his misery, watching him struggle is fun.  But it would get boring after a while.

Yeah, I guess I see your point. We're supposed to kill injured, dumb animals. While Ford isn't injured, he is suffering. I guess a ban would end his pain (sorta).

Maybe I was too harsh, as he has been quite refreshing to the site's entertainment value at times in the past few years.  

Who knows, maybe he will even learn how to tie his shoes.

idk, he hasn't improved at all over the past few years. His most recent thread is titles "Systematically killing children" for Pete's sake. Maybe we should systematically ban Ford for his own mental stability.

See, you have it all wrong.  After seeing his child killing thread, it all makes sense.  He has been systematically scarring younger members and taking the responsibility of ending their pain.  As long as he is cleaning up his own shit it wouldn't be so bad to have him around.

But, there's been a few good younger members such as young 3J, Cres, and Maya. We shouldn't let the blonde hobo Ford scare away them all. We have Steve's personality and EM's storygames for that already. Ford would be a redundant system.

They're not trolls though. We have never had a tolerable troll before, besides, 3J is probably dead, I don't know and don't give a fuck who Cres is.  And on Maya, well....I don't think any of us could see her being scared off, especially Maya.
I would say End's storygames and Steve's personality attract the right crowd and repel the wrong ones.  It would keep this site from being filled with idiots more than it already is.

Ford may be coarse and not very agreeable at times, but I believe that he is a very good source of entertainment. His jokes and berating of other members and n00bs who step out of line are often humorous.

I think some of the problems people have been having involve his behavior in the Discord, but as I said I'd need evidence of wrongdoing on the actual site. (I forgot how old he is but if it's under 20 all the 'ironic' ephebophilia doesn't mean much anyway...)

I haven't had that many interactions with Ford, though I think I interviewed him once, he doesn't seem significantly better or worse than the majority of the site's members :) Personally I wouldn't ban him unless there is some proof rule-breaking offences or something similar :) Though I suppose there are many who have broken forum rules on content and conduct, or there would be if we had forum rules (genuine question, do we have them?). That's just my opinion :)

Whatever is detailed in 3Js new site guidelines from a while back is the closest thing we have to forum rules. they're not meticulously enforced but there's a general feel for what is allowed and or tolerated around the place

Ford's alright, he can stay. I'm guessing the majority of the stupid things he does is on Discord, he's mostly just amusing here. If you find actual proof he's been sending porn or something similar to children, then sure, you can ban him.

I'm genuinely finding nothing of note in his post history, he's just as boring as the rest of you now. Not arguing that he isn't cringey and unfunny 70% of the time, but he keeps that off site now.

His edgy and most likely doomed to insignificance and failure child killing thread is the most interesting thing he's done in months. And while it's true he brings nothing of value to the site, if I start banning people just for being boring and failing to ever write a story I couldn't in good conscience stop with just him.

But I won't take a vote till more of you get a chance to weigh in. I mean I could make a more compelling case for banning him than most of you so far if I really wanted to, this is a pretty lackluster showing from the prosecution.

Not sure what this is all about actually, but it's worth noting I'm most likely going to be banning Pibot at the end of the year due to Ford not completing his story challenge.

It's just some general roleplay site that takes actual years to level up and shit. Like right now she's an 11 year old or something in her first year as a wizard and it will literally take until next year to actually become a 2nd year at hogwarts. She could potentially waste 7 years at an online hogwarts. http://hogwarts.io have at it. My account is Ford Farquad and I look like Elijah Wood (aka movie Harry Potter). She keeps bothering me to RP with her but I don't really want to waste time on a roleplay when I can waste time elsewhere.

It's so much worse than I imagined.

I pray that when the reality check comes it's quick and brutal and returns her to her real life while she yet has her youth and health.

She has to go to class and turn in homework and real life people grade this homework. There's a class entirely on stars which is just a legit astronomy class because wizards need that. The homework is like real life homework and everything is hogwarts but in the modern day except muggle tech isn't allowed (which is what I was interested in advancing through magic). I've called it real-life-but-not simulator 2018. She's on it like all day replying to people and editing stuff and moderating things so at least she's busy but damn...it's just an RP site.

Haha, I haven't done that much of the homework. It's not required, but it's kind of a cool feature. I'm also not nearly as obsessed as Ford implies, but I have enjoyed the roleplaying so far :) Sadly a lot of my time is spent moderating, but I'm happy to help the site get on its feet.

I haven't roleplayed in any classes and have made little progress toward said degree. There is a function for that, for people who are insane. I just enjoy roleplaying in general (though I don't know much about Harry Potter) and the strict guidelines make it easier to find partners who can actually make something that resembles writing.

The last time we had a "trial by unwashed mob" to determine a banning was during the reign of Bad Mod Kiel and it was for Brennon. I think we all know how well that turned out for everyone involved.
