See, that's what everyone's been doing wrong this whole time! You've been fishing without bait! You need points to lure those noobs in.
Let's test these theories out: 1) Control group - find 5 noobs & tag them with a friendly message to see if they respond. 2) Reward group - find 5 noobs & offer 1 point if they reply (I'm willing to donate 5 points in total for scientific purposes, but only if the mods would transfer it). 3) Punishment group - a mod could find 5 noobs & dock their points, which they won't get back unless they respond in this thread.
Sure, let's add another part to this experiment! 4) Insult group - tag a noob and insult them to find out whether they have thick skin (but a possible consequence would be that the events in the Baiting and Fisting thread might repeat themselves).
That's a win-win.
There should also be a group which is tagged and given a point without conditions in order to trigger their curiousity since that is what Berka did originally.
