For example: a picture of my inbred beagle.

Courtesy of a cat, I got a new gold trophy this morning! I'm afraid nothing is going to beat that in terms of wholesomeness.

AI sucks precisely because it's so convincing unless you know exactly what to look for.

Just think of it as a learning opportunity! We all make mistakes, and there is a lot of convincing AI stuff floating around these days.

Yes, this one. It's currently linked to one of my drawings, but uploading new things shouldn't be hard to figure out.

I have no clue how to use one, lol. I just mess with images for hours until I can get them to work with the built-in image hoster.

Edit: Ah, it appears that freeimage is not blocked for me. I'm now trying to use it to post an image of my two pets.

2nd Edit: It appears that I can not figure out how this strange system works. I managed to upload it to the image hosting site, but getting it onto CYS is a whole other matter.

A non-image-based contribution: I'm working on a chatroom for my CompSci homework. Rather than enter usernames every time, I'm randomly generating them based on a list of adjectives and a list of animals. Most recently, Pudgy Wombat was chatting with Grumpy Crocodile.

i'm not much of a poet or a cute image finder so here's a cute little story from last week:
one of my friends had a hallway crush on this guy who sits in our courtyard during lunch, and she wrote a letter to confess to him. my friend group and i hyped her up; i helped her decorate the letter and fold it into an origami heart to give to him. she was too shy to tell him in person so our whole group teamed up and slipped the letter onto the guy's desk before class one day. a couple hours later, he texted her and they hit it off talking about baking and gaming.

That's wonderful! The idea of an origami heart is really cute and I love how your whole class got together to deliver the heart to him. It's good to see that writing a love letter will never go out of style. It's a classic for a reason

I'm not quite sure what you mean but here's my best help:

After uploading your image to the image hosting site, usually image hosting sites have a direct link to the image you can copy. If you past that direct link in img src tags, which look like this except replace [ and /] with < and />: [img src="your direct link goes here"/], it should work.

So again, the steps:

Step 1: Upload your image to the hosting site.

Step 2: Copy the direct link provided by the hosting site.

Step 3: Paste the direct link in between the quotation marks of this tag (except, again, replace square brackets with < and />): [img src="your link goes here"/].

That should do it.

Step 0: disable the RTE in your profile and use html like an adult

In reality, I might try to switch to HTML sometime; the only problem is that it seems like such a mystical and unfathomable thing to me at the moment. I will, however, use it once to share this image.

Something I found out back when I used RTE like a loser is that to have anything displayed properly when using HTML, you have to click the little 'source' button and type it there. It's really inconvenient.

For freeimage.host, you have to change the link to HTML and just copy the [img src=""/] part.

There's only like maybe 5 tags you need memorized to succeed with HTML posting. And it's way less clunkier than the RTE imo. Also if you have Brad's extension it automatically adds line breaks for HTML posts so you don't have to worry about using paragraph tags or a custom div yourself, but I figure that might not be an option on a school Chromebook.

I have to use a school Chromebook and mine won't let me get the site extension. Then again, my school has pretty much everything blocked to the point where we have to specifically request access to youtube videos that are homework. 

It is surprising how it's still unblocked, lol. When I heard that my school issued a large blanket ban, I thought for sure this site would be blocked as well. Luckily, though, it wasn't, and I get to annoy everyone here for just a bit longer.

You are still using the RTE. And the thing you're linking to there is not an image, it's the page the image is stored on. You will know you have the image when the URL includes the image extension. (.jpg or .png usually)

Yeah, I was going to try and mess around with it some more, but the teacher said to close all of our chrombooks, lol. Thanks for the advice though.

Adding on to what Mizal said, I also recommend maybe setting a "max-width" attribute for your image unless it's already very small (like under 300px width), otherwise it might balloon to an egregious size. You can do that by adding style="max-width: 80%;" or some percentage like that after the src="IMAGELINK" part.

For some reason, I actually automatically think of cats as feminine and dogs as masculine. Maybe it's due to learning Spanish, but I think I've associated them like that before learning it as well.

Edit: Actually, another idea came around that might explain it, but it's even more unlikely than the Spanish theory. And no, I will not say what it is. You must live in suffering, not knowing the truth.

Speaking of learning Spanish, the other day my mother sent me and my siblings a clip from a movie in Portuguese. The subtitles were in Portuguese as well. It was about that pop-linguist idea that Abracadabra comes from Aramaic for "I create as I speak" or something like that (it may be true, but I'm no linguist). She was freaking out saying watch out what you listen to, thinking Aramaic was an occult language or something.

So, I'm reading the subtitles even though I don't speak Portuguese, and the first thing I texted was, "What the heck are you worried about? Read the subtitles. He's just saying that Jesus spoke Aramaic, the language of God, and that God's WORD was power, such as when he said, 'Let there be Light,' and the man in the clip also quoted the beginning of John (In the beginning was the Word, etc)."

I say this, then suddenly realize I'm the only one in the family that speaks some Spanish, and immediately say, "Sorry, I didn't even realize the subtitles were Spanish. Obviously, you wouldn't understand it."

And then seconds after I sent that text, I "OH SHITTED" because I realized that wasn't Spanish at all, it was Portuguese.

That was one hell of a trip. I'm only like 35% fluent in Spanish, and I speak zero Portuguese, and I freaking understood like 70% of this one minute-long clip's subtitles. That was just the damndest thing. I had heard the languages were close, but that was kind of creepy.

Languages. They have ruined the species XD.

IIRC, our parents got the dog from someone who might have been taking random dogs from the streets of mexico and selling them in the US, but I don't think they ever figured out if that was true. If they did, then I either forgot or they didn't say. So there's some pet lore for you.

I don't have an image, but I would like to share that one of my cats, her name is Mewtew, was gone for about a year. She just ran off one day. But a month ago, give or take, she came back!! She smelled like cigarettes, so we're pretty sure she ran away from someone else's house. She's also pregnant, but SHE'S BACK! :)

Her name also has a sort of double meaning! It's the name of a Pokémon, and her mom's name was Mimew (meh-mew)! So it's like Mew The Second. (I should call her that!)

I knew the Pokémon part, but the mom's name part is super cool!
