To be honest this was rather boring. Not only was it a failure in its attempt to make me laugh but it was also a failure in its attempt to be educational. All drains do not lead to the ocean! Stop spreading this misinformation!

I think had it had some visual aids or pictures to accompany it considering this is the family-friendly category it might have been fun, like when I got arrested by the minnow police or held hostage by eels but the creative exploration was lacking and it just looped me back to the beginning.

Also somehow I survived getting eaten by a hungry hobo which is not the ending I was expecting but hey it's ok to eat fish cause they don't have any feelings.

Overall boring with a few amusing moments but not enough to rate it higher unless visual aids and more branching and exploration of paths is included.

Not the best, but this could use some work.

I liked it I guess, but it had many problems. While there were a decent amount of links and pages I suppose, each page had a sentence to a paragraph on it, and details seemed little to none.

I suppose it was cute in a way, but I feel not much emotion for the fish, maybe because of a lack of character development or the small amount of detail. These things are crucial for storygames.

It was pretty illogical at some points, and I really can't say "the writing was good" since the writing was so little detailed, and I can't tell if i'd want to read more from the author or not :(

Who knew that being a fish could be so exciting? I rather enjoyed this story, there were some mistakes with grammar but it wasn't anything too bad. I think this is a excellent storygame for children that ever imagined what it would be like as a fish, as bizarre as that sounds.

This was cute, so much so that it makes me want to want to explore all of the possible choices for a happier ending for myself. (I was eaten :c)

For awhile, I thought, "Awh, this is cute. A game where I get to play a fish... Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming..." Then I read, "Go to a fish cafe," and thought, "Oh God, they're trying to be funny." >.<

A little flat. Real fish can be deceptively more interesting than this. Nice start, tho. :v

It was a loophole. It kept taking me places I have already been.

This was surprisingly interesting. I wouldn't go so far as to call it immersive, but I certainly felt as if I was exploring several different areas of the game, and it was a breath of fresh air to be doing that for once. I did get taken back to the ocean more than once, however, so it may have started looping.

That was entertaining.

I survived going through the digestive system around 5 times before I finally became a poor explorer.

That was not as bad as I thought at the beginning. Pretty random, but funny.

"The big fish liked your bravery and made you his sidekick. You fight snails and are famous. Then you see an attractive fish, abandon everything, and get married. You have many eggs. Then the big fish comes back for vengeance. " this story was adorable! I loved finding all the different endings 6/8

"Based Off A True Story"

Seems legit

Made relatively no sense. Short and confusing.

I'll be honest: I was expecting something absolutely terrible, but it was actually quite alright. You get to play as a brave little fish with plenty of moments of both awesome and funny. The grammar is spotty in places, but it's never bad enough to distract from the game. My favorite part of this game was how it allowed you to explore other paths and choices without having to abuse the 'back' button and reselect.

All in all, it was cute, amusing, and a better game than its low score would indicate.

I liked the infinite factor of this story, you don't just live, have events and die, you can lead a very random and fulfilling life that no fish has ever done. the realism factor was low, but not a single crap should be given!

This story is kind of cute. There's a lot of random non-sense that is unrealistic to being a fish, which I guess is what you're going for, but it sort of ruined atmosphere for me a little. Like choosing a "job". There were also a number of spelling and grammar mistakes that I noticed, but not so many of those that it really ruins the story. I enjoyed it, but I think if there was more things that made it felt as though I was reading about the experiences of fish I may have enjoyed it more.

I have no idea would rate this game so low.It's actually really cute. My sis and I enjoyed it.

Well...I rate on effort, An i can tell you put a little bit... Though it could have used a little more...but add variables, and randomizing, turn it into one of those live-your-life-to-complete-goals games, and it could easily get an eight.

it was okay but it kept repeating itself.

I don't understand why people rate this so badly, it's quite a comical story game, and better than ALOT of other storygames on this site.

Normally I really like games where you get to play as an animal, just 'cos I think it's cute to get to take a peak at the world from the eyes and mind of an animal, but... Well this game didn't exactly do that for me. You're a fish who gets given the option of becoming a dentist. Need I say more?

If the pages were longer and there were even more options this game would be pretty good. I do appreciate your creativity, number of endings, and number of choices.

I am glad for your comments. I will make a second one that will have more options, this was just a simple first time story. I will also be much much more descriptive.

Played again, this time choosing the pond instead of the ocean, and I take my comment about the threat of being eaten back, since I done got ate by a hawk. That said, are you going for something realistic or cartoonish? I saw the option to get a job when I went in the coral on the ocean path. What's up with that?

Ehhh. I agree with Aman - it didn't interest me. I like the fact that you give the reader a lot of options, but when I think of being a fish, I think of lush environments and even the threat of being eaten by something bigger. The writing style was too light on description for me to get into it. Maybe this is a game intended for a younger audience, but as a teenager of the CYOA site, I don't recommend it.

First of, a lake is not a pond. The story wasn't interesting, and I never felt engaged in the story. 3/8
