Come one, come all - this Sunday at 3pm EST in Discord. I will be hosting a drawing/entertainment cabaret!

This cabaret will include live drawing of up to two $25.00 commissions - if you are interested sign up for a comm slot in reply to this post. Also you can send me $5.00 during the stream for a live small drawing of your choice on the spot!

I also am looking for intermission entertainment. Whether that might be a live short story reading, a song or performance, or even a mildly humorous Sent Rant (a Sant?) Let me know!

When you say entertainment, do you mean you telling the stories or audience participation? Cause a reading of some of EndMaster's short stories would be funny.

I will be setting up VC access from the long disused noob cage, just for Hatter. Though it pains me to think of the amount of cleanup this will require afterwards. Every inch needing to be fumigated and disinfected.

Well, it's kind of closed off a bit more than that by now. It's been around 6 years and at this point is a carefully balanced ecosystem of core members, along with some past ones who don't use the site so much but still like to keep up.

And in this environment personal info has been shared (IRL stuff about work or pictures of people's kids and such) so it's made me kind of reluctant to bring in new people, and some of them we thought were cool turned out not to be a good fit. (And then of course it's a pain in the ass to remove them without hurt feelings or leaving the site altogether.)

To tell the truth there's just too many autists in this community who don't know how to act. But also, it's nice to keep the forum alive and not distract the rest of you from wholesome productivity with Discord's brainrot.

Yeah and doubly so considering how drama-prone open discords tend to be. Can't remember when was the last time I've seen a server where some shit didn't go down for usually the dumbest of reasons.

We did have it completely open for awhile, but not even counting people here, we started getting folks from other IF/writing communities joining only to get offended and go run and tell everyone how horrible we all were. It's like you could've just looked at the forums and saved a trip.

There were a few folks that tried to troll, but that never really worked out for them.

Finally we started getting weird folks just wandering in from wherever. Which pretty much resulted in kicking out the degenerates and the open doors experiment was shut down.

Probably the most entertaining of that lot was some nurse that wandered in bragging about being into erotic roleplay and was generally a dumb whore. She'd sometimes go on about how we weren't "hardcore" enough. It's like "Ma'am this is not that sort of writing community. You took a wrong turn somewhere."

Might have kept her around for lols a little longer, but she fucked up someone's Minecraft server so she got kicked for that.

Ah, I see. It has been like two years since I was on there, and when I was it wasn't very exclusive.

The event sounds really fun! I'd love to attend just to watch the livestream, hopefully me and other people not in the discord can join, maybe from that noob cage Mizal was talking about. Would that be ok? I'm assuming the noob cage is a kind of restricted channel, so we could still check out the livestream without formally being in the discord.

Never heard of an actual limit.

100 which is the limit unless you have full Nitro which ups that to 200. I'm not active in any of them except for maybe 5, but some of those I keep for updates on games or other stuff.

I wish I could, but I neither have money, alcohol, or availability in the chosen time. :(

I'm not in the discord either. You can still come! Mizal set up the invites so that if you're not part of the discord community, you can still attend. I think you missed the message above, where she said that she'll message everyone here who's not part of the discord with an invite to the event as long as you post in this thread that you're interested in attending. All you have to do is just reply to the original message saying that you're not in the discord but you would like to attend.

Since the 25$ commission slots were already filled up, if there are free slots for the 5$ commissions, I'd like to attend as well.

There will be a Cashapp link during the stream for the five dollars drawings :~)

Hopefully you got the job and the interview wasn't a disaster. If you did get the job, hopefully they won't fire you or pay you insanely low wages (or otherwise treat you badly), although I can't guarantee it would never happen.

I was beginning to think there was far too much positivity in this thread. Fortunately you managed to tip the scales a little bit back to the norm. Not very much, mind you, but perhaps pointing out that the interview could gave gone horribly wrong will get the ball rolling.

Hope you don't have a hangover, but drawing that well while drunk is impressive. Though perhaps it is possession by the spirits themselves that truly draws out your talent.

Hope we can do this again soon, and that I don't miss most of it next time! Although even hanging out in the text chat was pretty fun, Sent was on a roll and really helping me envision the magic, even when the magic was a human butt.
