Hey all,

We've noticed a bit of a trend in a specific kind of low-quality posting recently. While we're not instituting any purges or planning sweeping censorship programs, which sucks because I already bought the dogs and black uniforms, I've conferred with the other mods and we think it's a good idea to clarify a matter of forum conduct. Our culture here is a rare and precious thing: we've managed to avoid becoming CoG-lite, but it's equally important that this place doesn't become an interactive fiction themed /pol/. 

What we're really discouraging is outright racial animus on the site. Don't say your favourite word that ends with a hard R, don't sincerely call for the extermination of whole groups. No one's going to be policing your obvious jokes, but we're also going to do the necessary pruning to avoid looking like a Nazi hangout.

But yes, wholeheartedly agree. If I sincerely wake up and pray every morning that God sees fit to remove the entire wretched population of a certain Eastern European country, that's a personal thing and has no place on a forum for writing discussion.

I don't like Poland either, but I'm told he's posted lots of reviews in the past year. 

Hitler's paintings are actually pretty amateur and full of mistakes.

Maybe he should have kept applying to art schools.

The lore is that his failures as an artist, along with a smol "paintbrush," are what instilled the vitriol which led to his cringe lord ranting and eventual incel attempt to exterminate Jews, Romani and others.

It would be hella weird to be classed as that when a great many of the members are politically centrist, liberal or progressive. 90% of that shit is irony and mockery of PC culture.

Funny lol. I've had plenty of customer service jobs. I just don't like them. I did recently bite the bullet and start work at Dollar General, however.

Do you guy still put inaccurate price tags on goods hoping shoppers won't do a double take when the price is higher than it should be based the tags on the shelves?

I don't. So far I've only stocked shit. That has happened at Speedway and Turkey Hill when I worked there so I'm sure it's only a matter of time

Basically in the words of our old admin JJJ once said:

And before everyone quickly gets in on the hot gamer word action, ("Hey End said it so that means its okay!") that was merely a direct clarification for our Iranian comrade who's probably genuinely confused.

Anyway MissileSender is of course free to explain if there's a really offensive racial slur in Farsi that might be considered the equivalent of it. (I have to believe there is and we always like to expand the vocabulary around here)

What I'm still confused about is how someone fucked up so badly that the use of that particular slur is no longer acceptable. Don't get me wrong, I know it's always been technically against the rules. For quite a while, it's not something that's been enforced until recently. Even some of our mods (looking at you End) have been known to apply it somewhat liberally.

Well if we’re being honest here, it’s basically mostly due to Cel, though you probably caught a stray since you were starting to say it more often too. Combine this with Cel’s recent JOOS rant and it caused a lock down on certain shit.

I mean do I personally give a shit about what you say, well not really since I really don’t expect the place to become “Little Stormfront” anytime soon given the different racial (in this very thread even), gender (Which officially is more female at this point) and increased alternative orientation of the site. (Though some would say there's probably more gay/tranny Nazis on the net than the SA ever had in its ranks)

But a lot of others felt different, majority rules and all that.

Of course always remember, at most other places they just typically ban folks immediately so there’s still tons of freedom. Probably one of the few places outside of the obvious where you can still say faggot with abandon.

And if you probably made an actual argument using said gamer words for a specific point  (As opposed to just throwing them around for the sake of saying them) you might even get away with it.

Like for example when Cel was arguing with Flux (and several others) about Jews, he didn’t get his posts deleted since it was an attempt at an actual debate even if nobody agreed with him.

Of course there's a risk to that, but as we also say around here, your decisions have consequences.

You used it because you thought your ex girlfriend gave you street cred, Cel had started using it as a 1:1 replacement for black people. These things are not the same for those of us who know you, but forum posts show up on the front page for any passing casual glance. There are too many people out there who are heiling it up unironically now and they've ruined it for the rest of us.

If I may defend my good name from this slander, I believe I posted a grand total of one (1) post containing the "forbidden word". Hardly a 1:1 replacement.

Well, I don't think there is any word in the world that reaches the level of racism and offensiveness as the word 'n199r' — after all, it has a long history rooted in the era of slavery.

Back when English words had not yet entered Persian as much (before the internet became widespread in Iran), the word "siaah" (meaning "black" in Persian) was commonly used as an insult.

Nowadays, both "siaah" and the n199er are used interchangeably — and to a lesser extent, a word with historical roots is also used (see below).

There is also a word pronounced "kaakkaaaasiiaah" that has historical origins and was used in ancient times to address African and Black people , And it seems that this word has no exact equivalent in English.
