So what's "this"? My fellow CYStians, I want to draw your beaming bright faces. Or scowling visages of evil. Or whatever you want. Specifically, I'm offering to do shoulders-up portraits in (my best attempt at) any non-realistic style. These can be you, or your favorite roleplaying character, or your celebrity crush, or, again, whatever you want.
In the event that I get more requests than I have time to draw, I will pick the ones that I feel like doing. Apologies in advance if that's not you.
To increase your odds, a provide detailed description or (preferably) one or more images for reference. Feel free to be as specific as you want... "Something like [image], but with the hairstyle from [image], glasses like [image], and a blue shirt instead of red" is fine. "[image] but in the style of [image]" is fine too.
Stylistically, I'll attempt anything short of full-on photorealistic rendering, but bear in mind that on the spectrum from "noob" to "pro," I'm an amateur at best. Example:
Again, I'm currently offering free PORTRAITS, suitable for use as avatars, but if you like my style and you want a full- or partial-body commission, tell me what you want and make me an offer. $$$ via Paypal trumps points, but if I like your concept a lot, I might just do it for free.
Last but not least: I reserve the right to use any image I create in my hypothetical portfolio, posts on social media, etc. Please include how you want to be credited, if you care about being credited.

If it would be possible, after you've completed every other request since seeing a Muslim Capy along with two ahem related individuals is gonna be cool for everyone and not just me, I'd like to request a headshot of Gawn with her face split down the middle with a sword. On the left Gawn would be a much younger blue Tyfling with blue eyes and curly hair. She should barely have her horns. Blue eyes turning green ect. This should be a more grizzled Gawn, who looks older, there should be little to no reflection in her eyes and she should look somewhat sad.
Obviously this is a huge ask and honestly I'd be happy with even line art of this character. Fuck if someone took a crap on a canvas and called it Gawn I'd probably thank them. This is a super cool thing to do for the community so have my humble thanks.

Okay, tell me what you think of this. Also, does her skin tone change between versions like it does in the ref? And neither is what I'd call blue, with the younger being a pinkish purple and the older being a purpley gray. I can make her what I'd call blue or I can match the ref, just tell me which!

Woah! She looks awesome, just how I pictured her while writing: that transition is absolutely amazing!
As for skin tones: yes I just realised the reference is a pink in the first pic. I'd much rather it be a light pinky-blue before transitioning to a purple-grey like in the second image. If it would be possible I'd rather the 'younger' Gawn's side had the same colour eyes as in the reference and the 'older' grizzled side's eyes be green like in that reference too! What colour are you thinking for the background? Thank you!
Note that this is NOT done, there's basically no shading, except on the eyes. Now would be the time to correct any color issues, or request any other changes. Unless you REALLY like it like this, I am going to adjust the proportions so her head is a little smaller and/or her body is larger. She's just got a bit of a bobblehead thing going on, IMHO.
As for backgrounds, I always work against gray, but I'm open to doing whatever you'd like... short of an epic battle scene (sorry, but I really want to get this done by 2022!)
She's so cool!! When I'm painting minis I find the shading band highlighting to be the most fun step: is it the same with 2D art? Bobblehead Gawn, while not canon, is cute. It would be more appropriate to the setting if her body to head ratio was slightly more equal, but apart from that she looks awesome! Skin colour and everything else is looking good to me.
As for the background would it be possible to have a muted blue on the 'younger' side of Gawn (the one with blue eyes) that slowly transitions to a green as it approaches the 'older side' of her (the one with green eyes). If possible the transition shouldn't be too noticeable or bright as not to detract from your wonderful work, just enough so that it would be visible to someone looking specifically for it. No epic battle scenes required!

Shading is my least favorite part, at least until I get better at it! But hopefully this is an acceptable result (and if you see anywhere that could be better, especially if you have specific suggestions, please do let me know!)

Makes sense I suppose, since in my medium it's 'he he ink splodge' but in 2D you have to actually put thought into it (or at least I assume). It's more than acceptable, it's amazing. I'm awful at 2D stuff so I don't have any suggestions really, only than the praise it deserves. Background is perfect, pretty much what I had in my minds eye. Now I want to see some sort of GSR animated series. Overall this is totally impeccable.

Oh, how fun! Can you make a Shadow Dragon? I don't have many specifics, but I world prefer the main colors be black and purple. You can just Google "shadow dragon" and use the first image as inspiration. Whatever you come up with I'll make my avatar. No need to credit me or anything, it's your work.
I think it's gonna come down to how many more people want one, and also if I pick up speed at all. Slow owl is kinda slow, so far.
Congratulations on winning NaNo, Morgan! That's a lot of words to write in one month. If possible, could you digitalize the main character of my upcoming storygame? I'm not much of an artist but I did a rough sketch (link here). The necklace could be blood-red, each boot would have a skull, and I'd like the colour theme to be based on a black, dark grey, and red palette. Of course, do feel free to use your artistic interpretation, and change things as you see fit. The picture is more for ideas than anything else. Edit: The character is only faceless because I'm not good at drawing facial features lol. And as for credit, I don't think it's necessary.
Unfortunately, full-body characters without accompanying bribes offers of compensation are currently going to the end of the queue, where they may-or-may-not get drawn before I get distracted move on to other projects. It's a fun design, though, so I hope I do get to it!
