This took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out.

Tried going second, recognised the pattern, beat it. Came back to rate it. Decent, and it is a fun game, but I feel like it's one of those things that would be a little more fun if you didn't know the tricks.

I beat this the first try, it is not that hard, but still fun.

It's an alright game. You can recognize the pattern pretty quickly by choosing to go second seeing the choices the author makes.

I feel intellectually inferior for finally finish this after countless retries.

Simple and entertaining little timewaster. Rated low to compensate for historically inflated rating...2001 must've been famished for stories for this to be featured.

It was hard at first until I learned the trick. It was very fun as well.

Really Fun game were you try to beat the creator, At first, I didn't know how to beat it but then figured out that you just need to pick the numbers that he usually picks. Great short game.

It's as it says, just a simple game. Really easy once you get to know the opponent's moves, really.

I liked the premise behind it; it was a unique puzzle. I also like how you could choose whether or not you wanted to go first at the beginning. The easiest way for me to solve it was simply to pay attention to what strategy the narrator was using.

The length was a little bit short to be its own story. I'd expect to see a series of puzzles, or one very long / intricately coded one.

Just congratulated "8 goals, 28 rolls" on being the only game with a play length of 1/8 that's actually worth playing... I stand corrected.

Very enjoyable and REALLY tricky. Only managed to pass by going back and copying all the moves my opponent made. :p

Was pretty cool, you had to learn what the system was doing and what numbers it was picking and then just basically not let it pick those numbers. Was quick and fun and felt rewarding to complete, should definitely try

I beat this game on my 4th try really hard game but fun (easy if you look at pattern)

I knew about a similar game where you could add either 1 or 2 and the goal was to say 21, but this made me reconsider and figure out why the strategy for 21 works. Good stuff

This is really different from most games, and fun! I beat on my 5th try, but that was only because I started using the tactics the computer had used before.

It's kind of like the game 13.. overall it was okay.

A fun little challenge. At first I simply went at it assuming the computer would be random or easy but it continuously picks the best number so I actually had to think a little for the next try to win.

Go first, choose 3. If the game chooses a number 1 ahead of yours, choose 3 ahead; if 2 ahead, choose 2 ahead; 3 ahead, 1 ahead. You'll see what I mean if you figure it out.

You just have to try get ten then go from there.

The math concept is simple--leave gaps of 4 (that's basically a walkthrough if you understand what it means)

Haha, this was great! I had to plan out all of my moves on paper after a few tries.

got it on the 5th try

Took me six tries (all in one sitting), by the fourth I realized the pattern, the last two I was guessing numbers until I was able to get into the pattern.
For some reason I found this game highly appealing, and although I won, I'm still not sure what the pattern is :P

Pretty tricky at first. I think more would be excellent.

Been trying to beat this, but.. yeah. It took me a month [not 30 continuous days though...] then....well, better watch and anticipate the enemy's moves from now on ;}

Wonderful game. I couldn't figure out how to rate it. While trying it out at school with my cousin, I realised how to win, so I tried it on here and now I'm able to rate it a big fat 6 (by mistake.. I'm really feeling bad for not giving it eight). It's on my good list.

Fun little puzzle game. Not too hard to figure out the strategy if you like math (hmm, not too tricky to program this game either). But that's cool. Here's a hint; backtrack from 23 and determine for each number whether you win or lose if it's your turn. Or, just let the computer go first to cheat.
