In my opinion, it is a steaming pile of... male cow excrement... compared to the original. The first book didn't need a sequel in the first place, and while a second one might have worked out if it was done well, this one was not. It's like Pacific Rim, from what little I know about the original and sequel movies.

I think? It's basically just saying that you did something that someone else is really well known for doing. For instance, if someone constantly rolls a nat 1 on d20s, and they're called "Bob," then if someone else also rolls a nat 1 a few times in a row, it's common for them to say "I did a Bob!"

Based on a recent PM I got about someone wanting a thread they created taken down, they've already figured that out.
While that is a good point, it is kinda hard in certain situations to easily move the conversations over to PMs. And people probably forget that they exist sometimes. On top of that, it makes it so that others can't join in if they want, or even just sit back and watch the chaos.
Finally figured out a good way to finish this!

How could you make something simpler than possible anyway? I feel this is really random... not for you to put here, for Einstein to say.
He was talking about creating scientific models. Make the model as simple as you can, but not to the point that you defeat the purpose of making the model in the first place (it's useless for describing reality). He was being a bit cheeky, since you can't literally make something "simpler than possible," but the point stands.

I've already gone past the point of no return where I usually abandon a project/hobby for the rest of eternity, which means that not only do I enjoy doing it, but I also now feel a slight moral obligation to continue it that grows with every passing day.

Wow, that's a lot of people! It can be a mixed bag whenever there are that many in one house. And tastes do change over time, so it might have been the same recipe. Although if it used something pre-made in the recipe, then the manufacturer might have changed it slightly, which would have impacted the entire thing.

Wow, that's some serious dedication! We usually make a few things from scratch, but not much; Always been amazed at people who are able to do all of that for one meal.
And large gatherings of people can be fun, as you can chat with a lot of people and play party games that require obscene numbers of players, but it can also get quite crowded if you don't have enough room, and there is bound to be drama sooner or later. Although that could be a good thing, depending on who is involved, what it's about, and your stance on it all.

Probably why it doesn't make sense (it being quoted out of context). Is this just because of the lack of context or are they using incorrect grammar when saying ever tried and ever failed? It would make more sense as a question, but those are periods.
Sentence fragments are a thing. Becket uses these poetically, to create almost a poem, though he views it more as a mantra.
You are right that the first two fragments post the question "Have you ever tried? Have you ever failed?" But clearly these are rhetorical questions. Of course you have tried something; of course you have failed before. So he states them more as a reminder. "If you ever tried something, you know failure." The use of the period reinforces this.
Then he encourages you to try again. Promises you that you will fail again, but also that you will fail better than before.
Quoted in isolation it is often seen to carry a positive connotation, while in the context of the entire pieace it takes on a more sarcastic tone. That's why I wrote "quoted out of context."
I like the quote nevertheless because it illustrates how science and engineering work and how humanity makes progress more generally, both individually and as a whole.
