Soooo, this is supposed to motivate me to......
I feel like this has been said by a disproportionate number of US presidents.
Technically, the quote is saying he didn't have sex with Monica Lewinsky. I would hope the majority of presidents have never had sex with Monica Lewinsky.

Yeah, sorry about that. I did exhaust my short list of quotes though, so there won't be any more from me for a little while.
A valuable lesson in temperance. I feel very motivated.
"I have no life, getting assailed by a thousand black cocks at all hours of the day would require me to go outside. I was lying about being a snowbunny femboy to sound more impressive-- My only pleasure in this life is frogs. I get them delivered to my basement bathroom window via subscription service. Big, black, frogs. Live frogs. I shove them up my ass and whenever the people who moved in after my mom died open the door upstairs I bend over and shoot them out like a cannon. They scream, they weep, they cannot sleep. I hear them pacing around upstairs and getting into arguments. Their family is falling apart but I do what I can to maintain my territory. Ever since the water started leaking in down here I've been breeding bigger and blacker frogs to shove up my ass. It's so deep that the water comes over the toilet bowl, so I've just started pissing and shitting at my computer desk since it all goes to the same place. I have to sleep on a bed made of my dad's inflatable blowup wives that he left behind when he left my mom, shortly after he caught me anal-horking my first garden toad. I glued them together with what little rubber cement I have left-- Most of my rubber cement jars are completely dried out because I used to spend all day huffing their scrumptious glue fumes and jacking off before this new family moved in and started trying to get me out of their basement. The frogs grow fat on the mosquitoes and maggots that infest my turd swamp, and the ceiling has started to sag from the congealed smell withering the beams. Every day they open the basement door I shart increasingly large frogs at them. We are engaged in a game of chicken that will end our very lives-- This war will end when the family gives up, the house gives way, or my rectum bursts from the sheer volume of writhing frogflesh what has been lodged in my hole, and not a moment sooner." -Harper

"25 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

I really like verse eighteen here. I'm gonna highlight that one, I think.

You should be open minded and accept them, but that doesn't mean you have to agree.
I think it's even less moral that people are close to being able to create artificial babies and are planning to go through with it. Not to mention because they'll be in a sense "perfect" they'll ridicule everyone naturaly born at one point.
She's not fat, but they'll probably think she is from her width from how thin they'll probably be.
So? They'll probably still think that
Yes, but with our current technology it's impossible to get their input. We have no way to get someones opinion by jumping into the futer. It's just as cruel to deny them life.
it's not exactly motivational, but it's a good thing to contemplate and think about. On another hand, if we bring no one into this world that's the end of humanity and people who wanted to live don't get a chance
Only with the human's way of thinking. It's because of the way our brains function. With the way our brains make us think we can be very hostile.
It's religeon. People have lots of disagreements about this. And maybe our existance just is circular. I'm the only person in my reliegon that I know is able to accept the fact that maybe our god doesn't exist and gives proper credit to science. Probably others like me though.
We were created, or we just happened. I believe we were created, but it's very possible we just happened. Both are pretty logical. Science is less obvious and more confusing though.
No, I do believe in him I just respect science and that I may be wrong
You're like all the others, set in concrete and closed minded and refusing other beliefs. At least, that's what you're showing me right now. And science wasn't designed to disprove god but it does.
Yes, but being set in stone isn't always the way to go
Yea, sorry :p
MAY NOT be real. I MAY be wrong. MAY, MIGHT, MAYBE.
Yes, I'm saying because I said may I wasn't implying I don't believe in God.
Something i hate about religeon is that if you believe them they shovel you with things that'll stick with you because you're young and if you believe science over christianity they say you're evil and threading lies and stuff.
Well, I've been writing an edutainment book for a compitition so if you don't mind I'll be getting back to that.
That's probably why
I am a kid and I don't know what I feel about life... but I think it's worth it. Yes there's pain, but there's happiness. I'm just scared Trump's going to take away a lot of the things I value, he's certaily planning on it. Then maybe it won't be so great.
Bro got that emo philosophy.
Strangely I kind of agree with this. If there is no god/etc, you bring someone into a world without meaning and they may struggle with that. If there is a god and a Hell, by bringing them into the world, you've already guaranteed them a high chance of eternal suffering. Seems exceptionally cruel. On the other hand, maybe doing it for the species mitigates the cruelty. The species caries on, while the individual suffers.
And if there's a god/Hell, well, more people born might save others from Hell. So while you doom them to pain and suffering and potential everlasting torment, you also create someone who might save many others from eternal torment.
Unless, of course, God is cruel and playing a sick joke and everyone ends up in Hell.
Could be a fun storygame loosely based on old Gnosticism. The "true" god is imprisoned by the evil cruel god, and you must help him defeat the false god. Kind of like how old Gnostic Christians believed Yahweh (the creator god/Demiurge) was a lesser deity with cruel streaks or major charactor flaws, and the true god came to the world through Jesus (at least a few of them believed this; I believe the overwhelming majority of gnostics believed he was more of a messenger than god incarnate).
So many narrative possibilities....
I actually have a story idea kinda ish like that

But to others, you’re a role: to one person a villain, to another a hero, to someone else a friend, or a stranger. some of these quotes make no sense, but I think I kinda get this one.
"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
And I think he knows a LITTLE more about insanity than you do, pal!
I've heard that one multiple times.
Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is also the definition of practice.
Not exactly. It's that without the expecting different results part. At least, I think so. I also think I get what you mean.
No, practice makes perfect. You continue doing the same thing over and over expecting to get it right finally. It is exactly the same thing.
Of course then we must follow logic and conclude that since Practice makes perfect. And practicing is insane. Then doing the same thing over and over again (practicing) will make you perfectly insane.
that makes insane sound better than it is
Are you insane?
Probably. Very much so. In many ways.
yes, I think. Never mind, or not
It is a quote that is objectively wrong but everyone always likes saying it.

endmaster keeps giving quotes that feel like they belong in a grimdark fantasy or his Eternal. But I guess Eternal is a grimdark.
"Entropy is the great enemy, not with armies or fire, but with the slow fraying of all we build. To live is to resist it, to shape meaning against its pull, to create knowing all will fade. Yet our struggle is not just survival, it is ultimate transcendence. Every invention, every bond, every dream is an attempt to rise beyond decay, to break the shackles that bind us, restrain us, limit us. Humanity’s secret imperative is not merely to endure entropy, but to one day master it, to shatter its grip on existence, and prove that life is more than what time can unmake." - Me
Reminds me of this:
"Beware mercy. A turned back is no defense against an assassin's knife."

“Remember that you can expunge anything you find undesirable. You need only have the will."
"2026 is three months away. And somehow 2020 was five years ago. In between, everything changed, not loudly, not all at once, but slowly. We lost people we thought we'd never lose. Let go of things we thought would last forever. Learned to live with questions that never got answers. Time didn't pause, it didn't ask if we were okay, it just kept moving, and we had to move with it. Some of it broke us, some of it rebuilt us, but all of it shaped us. And if you're reading this now, you made it. Maybe not unchanged, maybe not as certain, but you're still here. Still breathing. Still trying. And that means more than you think, because after everything, you didn’t disappear, you grew." - A stranger on the Internet
What did time smell like? Like dust and clocks and people. And if you wondered what Time sounded like it sounded like water running in a dark cave and voices crying and dirt dropping down upon hollow box lids, and rain. And, going further, what did Time look like? Time look like snow dropping silently into a black room or it looked like a silent film in an ancient theater, 100 billion faces falling like those New Year balloons, down and down into nothing. That was how Time smelled and looked and sounded. --Ray Bradbury, the Martian Chronicles
"If the rule you followed brought you to this, then of what use was the rule?"
So... you're making a dark edutainment book that's not appropriate for a younger audience? Didn't endmaster say that the contest was because the younger people are kinda stupid?
I thought you were Blister saying this for a moment and wondered how the hell this tale didn't end with him whipping himself for sinning so hard.
I just finshed reading it after clicking the link, and I highly reccomend that for anyone who hasn't. It only takes a few minutes to read and it's well worth that time.
I always get edits of that quote on YouTube shorts. The lore sounds so cool, definitely going to have to check this one out.

“Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.” - Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
Second quote that has to do with god, because we are all talking about religion today.
“Now it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mind-bogglingly useful could have evolved purely by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as the final and clinching proof of the non-existence of God. The argument goes something like this: "I refuse to prove that I exist,'" says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing." "But," says Man, "The Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED." "Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic. "Oh, that was easy," says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing.” ― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
That thread is a quote gold mine from top to bottom
"God hates fags."
Well now I'm thinking of an old 90s song called "What if God was one of us?" And mentally replacing that line with "What if God said Lol, fag?"

"When fortune smiles on something as violent and ugly as revenge, it seems proof like no other that not only does God exist, you're doing His will".
" Isn't it strange how paradoxical your world feels? Learning something new makes you feel dumb, before it makes you feel wise. Working out makes you feel weak, before it makes you strong. Facing your fears makes you feel terrified, before it makes you brave.
In order to heal, you have to suffer, and in order to have peace, you need chaos. Because Life disguises growth as failure, and progress as pain.
But if it feels hard, it probably matters, because becoming is messy. It breaks who you were to make room for who you're meant to be. So if you feel tired, uncertain, and behind, you might just be in the middle of becoming, and thats exactly where you're supposed to be." - Alan Watts
I feel like people who feel depressed or beaten down by the world or something like that would be motivated by this.
Eh, anyone who has struggled to learn something and put shoulder to the plow until they got it has felt this. For me, I took Calc I as a college freshman without anything remotely resembling a solid foundation in trigonometry or geometry, and while I took Algebra II in highschool, that was my sophmore year and I didn't remember too much of it. That was tough. Getting a B felt like a major accomplishment (but I still retook it online the next semester as I took Calc II to move it to an A). I actually spent a couple years as a math and science tutor a little bit after that, interestingly enough.
Point is, while you're right to an extent, this quote would resonate with anyone who has struggled with something and overcame it, be it learning an academic topic, mastering some craft, losing weight, whatever.
"Depression isn’t just sadness. Sadness is clean, you lose something, you cry, it hurts, and eventually it passes. But depression, that runs deeper. It’s heavier, stranger. It isn’t one clean emotion at all, it’s what happens when the story you’ve been living by collapses.
For years you’ve played a role. Maybe the strong one, the reliable one, the one who keeps moving no matter what. And that role gave you direction, maybe even identity. But one day, it stops fitting. The mask cracks, the costume slips, and suddenly the life you’ve been living feels like a lie.
And that emptiness? That’s not proof that you’re broken. That’s your spirit saying, I refuse to keep marching to a script that doesn’t feel true anymore.
It feels like the ground has given way, but maybe that old ground was never real to begin with.
Depression rips the mask off, and what’s left isn’t failure, it’s the raw, unpolished self. The part of you that doesn’t need applause or approval anymore, the part of you that simply needs to be.
And yes, that’s terrifying. Because if you’re not who you thought you were, then who are you? And what’s the point? But that question, that’s the moment something more authentic begins to breathe.
So if you’re there now, in that dark silence, don’t mistake it for the end. That silence is soil. It’s the strange, difficult ground where transformation takes root.
Depression isn’t proof that you’ve failed, it’s the proof that your soul is strong enough to demand something real.”

"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you gay.

"I saw Moses, Jesus and Abraham (on the night of my Ascension to the heavens). Jesus was of red complexion, curly hair and a broad chest. Moses was of brown complexion, straight hair and tall stature as if he was from the people of Az-Zutt.
But in my head cannon that curly hair is what is red and it is 100% all over his broad, lumberjack bear-of-a-Muslim-Jesus chest.

We really are fucked. My english class is abysmal.
I am confused, why is this so bad?
sorry, but what's abstract thinking?
Something you seem to lack.
That doesn't really help...
Abstract thinking is a skill where you are able to reason things that are not spelled out for you and connect ideas without somebody holding your hand along the way.
Edit: You appear to be a small child, so it's more understandable why you aren't quite as adept at this kind of thinking. It's still troubling that many kids today seem to have lost this ability or never gained it in the first place.
oh. I can do some stuff on my own, it's just there's an awful lot I don't understand.
That's totally okay, and it's great to ask questions. I'm a little sleep deprived and confused you with Blister for a moment.
I still think that it would've been reasonable to know what abstract thinking was by just reading Mizal and Fluxions's posts (I'd never heard the term before and a quick google search proved my assumptions correct), as they gave examples of what an absence of it would entail.
When you can connect ideas, see beyond the obvious, and imagine hypothetical scenarios, you're using a skill known as abstract thinking. Also known as abstract reasoning, it involves the ability to understand and think about complex concepts that, while real, are not tied to concrete experiences, objects, people, or situations. Abstract thinking is considered a type of higher-order thinking. It involves ideas and principles that are often symbolic or hypothetical. This type of thinking is more complex than the type of thinking that is centered on memorizing and recalling information and facts.
“Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.”
Less than peanuts to space. Besides that, good quote. Not exactly motivational though.
I like to think of it whenever I'm tired of walking a long distance to somewhere. It helps me remember that it could be much, much worse.
Also, it's just a fun quote.
Yea. But I'm a nitpicker. Sorry.
Nah, it's fine. I get wanting to point out that something isn't technically supposed to be somewhere.
Every time I see your username I think "unscrapable death!"
Unscrapable? That's a new one. May I ask why?
No idea. I allways imagine a table plastered with your profile picture and the picture's getting scraped off. Why? I don't know.
Interesting.
Say, isn't there someone here with a psychology degree now? Maybe they know why
I think it was Will. I think
After a bit of searching, it's jster02. That's a good guess though.

Lol! That's a funny though
A funny?
Funny thought*
And now I can't edit it. sigh.
Sorry :(
So that's what they were saying! I always thought that they were doing a surprisingly sophisticated attempt to do a double backward somersault through a hoop whilst whistling "The Star-Spangled Banner."
You mean in the hitchhiker's guide to the universe?
Yep. This is a refrence to it
I laughed at the part where they said that the humans thought they were smarter than dolphins since they didn't do much in the water but dolphins thought they were smarter for the same exact reason.
“For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.”
This?
Yea!
I gotta go now for an IRL even. See you guys later (or not).
EDIT: Never mind, my bad, it's in an hour.
There's a forum etiquette article?!?!??!?!?!?! How did I not know this before now?!
Why, is some of the information outdated? 'cause I started reading it.
Sort of thought that might be too much gay, but it's probably reached that point now anyway.
