A democrat being ahead in Kansas is not something I thought I'd ever see, but we're here. I've got no opinion either way. It's just surprising.
I know my crowd is not a clear representation of Kansas as a whole, but there's a decent chunk of people who went for Harris this go around. Some of them are people who've been republicans their entire lives (parents of friends). With the exception of the hicks, those in my grade who can vote said they were voting blue.
While I don't know how that reflects across the state, it's surprising for me. Young voter turnout's supposed to be pretty good this year here in our lil wheat field. I realize hicks make up a lot of Kansas, but I wouldn't say it's a majority. So far they're the only ones I've found sold out for Trump. I think my parents would shoot me if I didn't pray for his safe return to presidency, but my closest friend's mom switched up her vote and went against her party affiliation this year. I know she voted Trump for the past two elections, leaves me wondering what changed.
