Great puzzle. And the best part about having this format is that it was more fun than just figuring it out in your head. I had thought of a few strategies, but it wasn't until the game walked me through the puzzle that the full solution occurred to me. I don't think that would have happened if I'd just tried to figure it out in my head; I would have given up. It's interesting how this online-game medium made a classic puzzle more accessible that way.

I love it! It would be much better if it were part of a larger story. If you could build an entire story with miny games like these it would be fantastic.

That was a fun logical puzzle creatively presented in the choose-your-story format.

It is a very fun puzzle, took me 1 hour to solve it lol. And, it was nice to play in my free time, good thing I never gave up to win the game!

I like the fact that you actually have to think about it. The first time I did it, I got it right, and I thought about it.

Apparently I actually played this back when I joined the site. Found my previous comment, apparently just lucked out. This time I actually came up with what I thought was a foolproof solution but...I ended up guessing whether it was lighter or heavier.
Looked up the actual solution and fuck me does it require writing stuff down.
Great puzzle either way.

There is not much to say on it, spare for that it is quite a clever puzzle of measurements.

The system is quick to learn and easy to apply--even without the use of paper.

The puzzle gets you to think, and is even randomized for replayability (though the system itself remains the same).

This was a fantastic idea, it is not the hardest logic puzzle but it is very entertaining and enjoyable to figure out. You also didn’t waste too much space or room for unnecessary objects during the weighing process so it looked clean. All in all, I thought it was good and works very well.

An entertaining logic puzzle to while away a few minutes. It took me a couple tries to figure out the lighter/heavier aspect, so that was a fun additional challenge.

There was one type I noted, on the page where you select whether it was lighter or heavier. "whether it if heavier" should be "Whether it is heavier..."

I do wish the puzzle was part of a larger plot, but it is playable and enjoyable on its own.

The presentation/mechanics seemed a little rough to me, like I was looking at the behind the scenes script for a game rather than it being presented as a game. E.g. a ball would be labeled with 1 if on the left scale and 2 if on the right, rather than L or R. The list of rules also seemed a bit messy.

It's definitely worth a couple playthroughs to figure it out, though it won't have a lot of replayability once you understand the concept of how to discover the 'odd' ball and figure out its relative weight.

This is the kind of thing I want to see more of in interactive fiction. I've read lots of fantasy (and love it) and lots of romance (and love it), and so on. But new genres are what I want to see.

This game is almost a proof of concept, and I could easily imagine this being dropped into a larger game where a challenge of wits is required. But even on its own, it was fun. If a game can give me five minutes of fun and thought, and also show me something I haven't seen before, that's awesome, and I want more.

My one gripe with this is that it is so quick to complete. It feels like it's best suited for a portion of a larger story involving logic puzzles like these. I like the addition of making the odd ball's lightness or heaviness unknown as well, as this alters the original classic logic puzzle this is based on enough to make me rethink the original solution's strategy to better fit the results.

It's a nice test of logic from a TED video I believe, it's good. Could be improved in a few ways but it's a nice time killer.

Well that was an interesting puzzle. I enjoy when the solutions to something isn't necessarily one that can be found so easily, and for that reason alone this is something I considered to be fun. Although it did take me a few tries until I was able to achieve a very satisfying victory of sorts over the king of this story. This was fairly challenging, but the feeling of successfully getting through this puzzle was one that gave me quite a feeling of accomplishment.

First try I managed to get the right one, but missed if it was heavier or lighter, took me a few tries to get this, loved it.

Easy Peasy. Do Ball 1-6 on one side and 7-12 on another. Then, so the same, but with the heavier side. Last but not least, choose 2 random balls and weight them. If they are the same, then choose the last ball. If one is heavier, choose the heavier one. Yay success.

For what it is it's really good! I rate it 8/8 because it was entertaining, fun and challenging which is what a puzzle's supposed to be. I rate it 8 because I wouldn't factor in, say, length in a game like this because the goal isn't for it to be long.

This is a great game. Good use of the advance editor and its variables. I got no complaint except that it seems by the end of the final measurement, it always came down to a random choice between 2, but that could be because my strategy was to narrow it down and it's not enough to work with just 3 turns. However, I'm sure there's a way to figure it out with another strategy. Good game man.

I usually don't like puzzle games, but this was a lot of fun.

Awesome. I'm too stupid to do this, but I asked someone I know that is VERY smart and focuses mainly on logic to do this. I also told her that it included mostly logic and a bit of luck. In her first try, she lost because she had divided attention. So she got challenged. (She's so smart.) After the program she was watching was done, she friggin breezed through this~. In the end, she summarized that she got luck at the first measurement, and all the rest was logic.

She's so awesome. No wonder she's the brightest of her classes.(Yes, I know someone like that even though I'm probably the most stupid person in the whole world.)

This is some really nice work. While the puzzle itself was very simple, the work needed to create something like this is very advanced. I love the clever use and thinking outside the box!

A fun puzzle that was interesting to solve. My main complaint, though, is the use of the numbers 1 and 2 next to each of the numbered balls to show which ball is placed on the left and right. It brought up some mild confusion. Couldn't you have just put left and right, or perhaps put a key somewhere if you couldn't?

This game is brilliant. I have had a similar challenge, but it told you whether it was heavier or lighter than the other spheres. This one is harder, because it doesn't tell you whether it is heavier or lighter. It took me several tries, but I finally got it.

Decided to try this after Dead Man Walking. It's a puzzle I vaguely recall seeing from my youth, and a good one, really, but this Choose Your Story format isn't really appropriate for it. It would have made more sense as a Java game. Still, it does showcase the ability of this engine to handle puzzles outside of a typical Choose Your Story format.

Loved it! Took me a couple of goes to work out the logic behind it, but I had fun figuring it out. Really fun puzzle ^_^

Anyone - If anyone ever wanted to include this as a mini-game in a larger story, I'd be happy to let them use it (it's only 12 pages long)

Loved it! I had it narrowed down to 1 of 3 but pretty much guessed at the end. I did know it was "lighter" then the rest, though - in my case anyway. Fun stuff and like others said before me, this would be a great puzzle in a larger story!

It was nice to play. I got it down to a 50/50 guess in the end. It's definitely possible to get it so that you're 100% sure, but not without a bit of luck.

Depending on how the process goes, I can get between a 50% chance of being right and 100%. In terms of the right ball, I can always figure out if it's heavier or lighter.

An enjoyable, if unconventional, experience. Would make a good mini-game puzzle in a longer puzzle adventure game. I've gotten it down to 50% guess at the end. I guess I"ll keep trying to get it down to 100%.

I might add that this really is a difficult Logic Puzzle. I have a paper with the solution, so I know that it’s possible, but without the paper I've never solved it better than a 50/50 guess (without getting lucky). This version is a lot easier if you're not too shy about using the back button ;)
